My type of writing in snow involved yellow letters not needing near five acres or cars.:rofl2:

The 63 was basically a "beater with a heater",the required winter car so I didn't have to drive my 57 wagon. Originally I traded a 10 speed bike for this car in 1977. It was an Arizona car and much better bodywise than your typical 15 YO Ohio car but the PO had let it freeze and crack both heads on the 283 and push the soft plugs out of the block. In proper teenage fashion
(then) we patched the 283 up and sprayed the car with a gallon of the cheapest fleet white enamel I could find. It was a great ride and legendary among those I grew up with. The pic above is 2 or 3 yrs after I got it and it was the beginning of the end. By this time I'd swapped in a 1970 400 sbc but never had any luck finding a tailgate for it. I finished it off that winter racing with another Charger (69) on a snow covered go-cart road course. It took the rest of the winter of course till they were both too beat up to drive on the streets anymore. We never had any problem getting enough people to pitch in a buck or so for fuel so we could pile everybody in the cars and spend the evenings making laps in the dark. I think the track owner charged us $1/day each for track use but made much more with the crowds we brought in to drop quarters in his pinball/foosball/pool table.
Fear not though,I bought another one about 15 years ago. Tailgate was still a problem as the PO had used the braille method of hitching it up to his boat trailer.I was able to find a NOS tailgate skin for this one and drove it for a couple years before I blew it apart to fix. Now that the kids are grown
up and moved out I hope to get back on it one of these years...
