I still am hoping for this weekend, Sunday to be exact but I just may have to wait until the following weekend. I have gotten a quote from a tow company for $104.72 after taxes if I put a better set of tires on the front, $147.42 if I leave them and they dolly the wheels, they won't tow with the tires it has. Will be a regular tow truck, they say it would be to much of a hassle getting it on a ramp truck witch would also cost the $147 price, They refuse to take a chance on rolling it out by hand because of the ??? brakes and will there be any. And because it's a busy street they would prefer to do it before 8AM Saturday/Sunday unless I pay regular price( I got a discount if I do it on a early weekend, tow company says they are never busy early AM on weekends iether).

This Saturday Deb has volunteered me to help a friend all day so I can't see doing the tire swap to have it ready Sunday. And now this is the embarrassing part..... I have no spare wheels 5 on 5 with tires on them, I'm going to have to take 2 tires of my Buick to have the other Buick towed, I don't even have a spare for it:oops:. Yet I have a ton of 5 on 4.75 wheels with tires.

That's not a bad price for the tow and worth it to put some decent tires on rather than pay more. Git-er-done Tedy.:yahoo:

KK, I think these wheels and you came up once before(?) They are Chevy Astro/GM Safari mini van wheels. Trust me you won't like them, I put a set on my honeys old mini van when new and went back to the steel wheels it came with originally. They are a PITA and a half to keep clean and once that clear starts pealing on them........... it's just not worth it.

Good for a spare, not a daily driver.

Yeah, I know they would be a pain to keep clean, but i like the way they look very much, And I also think I can make them look sort of 'Pontiac-ish' on the Way Back Machine.

Still open to other wheels though, if the right ones come along.

Tedy luck is on your side lately. Now that Deb will be out of town you won't even have to sneak the latest wagon to the barn. By the time she finds out about it you can tell her "oh that old thing. I've had it out here for years."

Cat, Deb does know about it and she is 100% OK about it, really!:yup:(y).... if it beaks, I fix it ASAP, if it needs water, I water it, if the bills need to be paid, I pay my share and on time. $ for this comes from my flip this and that deals witch I do local, we do get along great when it comes to this kind of stuff. What she does not know about yet but probably expects is my dietary plans for me and the boys while she is away......silence of the lamb blue cheese stuffed pancreatitis 911 burgers IS what me and the boys are having for dinner Wednesday night...... with bacon of course! :dancing:

T-was the night before X-Mas and all through the house....... Fat Tedy was stirring and I'll bet the dogs will even want to leave the house!:D

I'm meeting the guy at 12 noon tomorrow, pay him, get the keys and papers, put some towable tires on it and wait impatiently until Sunday AM for the tow to the barn. I can't tow it early Saturday as I have my pry-or-eh-ties..... Dogs have a 8:30 AM appointment at the groomers and they will all ways come first;)

Now that Deb is away, tonight's dinner for the boys will be BBQ buffalo smokies with a side of kibble[IMG]
