The '89 740 is my daily driver. I have a 78 mile round trip for work and usually have to do other stuff after work, usually around 100-120 miles a day, 5 days a week. I'm proving an old Volvo will run forever. It hit 400,000 miles on Labor Day last year. It will turn over 412,000 miles this week. By the way, when it turned over 400,000, it was hauling a 12' pop up trailer back home from the beach.

My '86 Country Squire with 77K miles is my daily driver. It gets about 20 - 30 miles on it a day. It and my old '91 Mercury Colony Park have been two of the best snow and ice cars I've ever owned, that were not all-wheel/four-wheel drive.

Well, I bought the wagon with right about 108k miles, and I started driving it in May of 2013. Today it's at 131k, so I'm averaging almost 12k miles a year.
It is my daily driver, and anytime we take a trip, we take the wagon. So much more storage room than my wife's Jetta.
I really need to get some work done on the wagon though. I'm averaging 13mpg highway, so its a hard choice to take the wagon vs the diesel Jetta getting 45mpg highway...

I was driving it daily but recently decided to start biking to work. Wagon comes out on the weekend.
I'm taking the wagon to Myrtle Beach, SC to check out the big car show there on Mar 19th, that will be the first significant distance I've driven it since getting it.

My 2 D-D's were used daily for years by me, then I returned to work and drive the company supplied van. Insurance ran out last Dec 10 on both and only reinsured end of Jan I think it was. They still sat insured for a few weeks but now I make it a point to get them out on weekends. Well I've actually been doing the trade off, Olds one weekend and the Buick the following.....

I've had my Roadmaster a year this month, it is my primary driver but lately been having nasty weather so I have left it in the garage and been driving my Toyota Tundra but I have put a little over 11,000 miles on my wagon this year.

Only in warmer months. Pennsylvania Winter + Car = You better have it steam cleaned, waxed and oiled or you have one rusty ride soon.

Old Volvos don't die, though sometimes you wish they would.

:biglaugh::D I've had cars that I've tried to kill and they wouldn't die. Others that cost a fortune and much time just to keep running.
I had a 1949 Oldsmobile with hydramatic. I couldn't destroy the transmission. A few Buick Dynaflushes that never seemed to work.
Then there was the VW squareback and the Renault that nearly made me give up driving!:(

My mag was my DD. until I put the 89 Reliant on the road two years ago, but it still gets any where from 4000 - 15000 km a year as a touring car.

Drive it every day. It's fun to drive. Handled the snow well this past winter.

Another 350 mile trip with the trailer this weekend. Never towed in the snow before. Other than the trailer bogging down when I was backing it into the site and the resultant crabbing with the limited slip diff, no problems.
