:tiphat:Pictures of you wearing them or it never happened.:camera:[/QUOTE]

Her sisters (5 of them) like to go there for shoes and leather goods. Its still a Nationalized industry (Shoes and Leather), and Leon, Gto, is the site of the largest tradeshow and permanent sales exhibition for 100s of companies. Takes almost a week to see them all. Luggage, boots, jackets, cowboy leathers, saddles, harnesses, and all the ladies' purses.

Name brand stuff. You can go down almost naked and pay for the flight with the savings. $10 for Golf shoes! $20 for cowboy boots. $20 for leather jackets! Not seconds either. My next drive down, I'll take more tools than clothes. If I fly down, I'll take a toothbrush, comb and spare underwear. The rest, I'll buy there! :thumbs2:

Back to the headliner subject, for a molded headliner in an 84 Monte Carlo, I used a nice color automotive carpet, sprayed it and the panel with contact adhesive, attached and installed. About the same thickness as the foam backed stuff, but no foam to fail. Been in for over 15 years in Riverside County California (lots of sun all the time) and still looks great.

    Just a thought.

I honestly believe a thin carpet is a good choice. Even the floor carpet for my 55 Chevy came from a Home Depot or Lowes. Very thin. For the actual roof I wanted the white perforated like original so bought a kit.
My only concern is being able to bend and conform to some wagon roofs. The hot sun is the worse enemy of a headliner.
I did a friends 1950 Chevy truck using upholstery contact cement directly on the inner metal. It kept coming loose in a few days from the sun. I don't remember what I finally did.

I know I was tempted to use screws or nails. I don't know how I got talked into doing a 50's Chevy truck enterior! The truck had a small block Buick engine. I don't know what ever happened to it.

Headliner fabric arrived along with the fabric for the rod tubes. 11 days after the order date. And the seat upholstery sample is on backorder. I get stuff from RockAuto in 8 days, and our SNAIL MAIL can't deliver over one Province in better than 11 days. And they call it Expedited Mail?!?!?!:banghead3:

Anyway, the headliner fabric is cloth-backed and strong, and looks really fine. I just peaked inside, because my hands are too dirty to handle it. Nice light beige/sand color. The dome lights will have something to reflect from.(y)
