I don't let it bother me too much as I had people on another forum tell me not to cut it.It was bought with the intentions of cutting it and didn't want a rust bucket to start with cause I wanted a solid car when I was done and I got it for a fair price.
Like I said it will be worth more as a 1 of a kind kustom then it will as a 4 door wagon

I wrote that I did a stupid thing by selling my 72 Gran Torino wagon. I also said you are free to do whatever stupid thing you choose, more or less. It's true, these are our toys and we are free to slice, dice, or modify in any way we want.
Also at the time, I assumed your wagon was in nearly mint condition. I love factory original vehicles. But look closely at some of my cars. None are original. It's a fact that it is often cheaper and easier to build a custom than to restore. And as you stated, nearly any custom car is worth more than stock, even a rare antique. More little deuce coupes are chopped and modified than restored.
Plus I also don't care for a four door car of any type. Altho there are exceptions such as the 57 Chevy and 49-51 Mercury. Again these are just my opinions.
Good luck on your sedan delivery/panel project. To show I also like panel trucks and sedan deliveries, i was looking for a tri-five sedan delivery when I bought my rust bucket wagon. It's now far from original with Nomad rear quarters and Bel Air trim. Plus I own and am slowly building a 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton panel truck custom.
You see, I was not complaining, just suggesting on the facts I saw. There are so few good original old cars I'd like to see more of those saved.

well my wagon was original but it had been sitting. it's a decent looking car but by no means is mint. the tailgate glass was shattered and the gate is rotted and in fact has no bottom to it at all. remember photos can hide alot of things. It's not a total rot box and is very solid but it needs restoration and if i'm going that far i'm building what I want out of it.
You use poor choice of words as no matter what I do it's not stupid and take offense to that word. I know you meant well with the stuff you said it's just you could have left that out

ya the Black Sport was suppose to be first but had a tuff time with jobs here in Jersey since I moved so I don't have the finances for the frame off resto and be able to get it done by June so my foucus has switched to the wagon to get that build in time for the Ford Nationals in June. The wagon's engine runs ok and not doing a frame off.
I will detail the chassis from under the car but that is about all it's getting and it will be mainly the body mods and paint job and do whatever mechanicals it needs, like from suspension bushings and check the brake system for any needs but it drives now so it's just some fine tuning. The Black GTS will be the all out show car and the wagon will actually be driven more.

the brown primer GTS is the parts car I picked up a few months ago and it will donate the side sections I need to graft into the wagon. I have doors off a 73 I parted in FL that will get used as th parts car are rotted and dented.

I love the Pinto Sun Cruiser and have wanted one for years to ProStreet with a nasy 351 Cleveland. No port hole as there is another reason i'm taking out the long side window. It's going to have removable storage racks on the inside panels as I will also be using it for mobile airbrushing ,pinstriping and lettering,so I don't want any windows back there.I'm adding the quarter windoe just in case I have some passengers sit in the back seat they can see out, plus I thing it adds a little style from the Sport fastback
