And Krash wins again (I don't know about the year but I guess Krash is right or near to be!). You'll note this one is a reall RHD, with UK plates shot in UK, not a photoshoped bitchiness to snare KK...

I never drove a Simca 1301/1501 but my parents indended to buy one when I was a child (finally they did not and they bought a Ford Taunus Mk1 wagon V6 2.8L instead of the Simca). I've always looked at the Simca as a funny car with the openable rear window and the bottom of the hatch falling like it does on most American cars.

Sorry Fox, I hope so next time will be yours.

If I had seen a picture of the front of that 1501 Simca, I would have known it for sure. From the back, I wasn't. I don't think I've ever seen a 1501 of any kind over here in the US. Did you Canadian guys see any up there in Quebec?

I remember as a kid an aunt of mine owning a cute lttle Simca hardtop for a while. Remember playling with the stick shift in the driveway. Had forgotten that memory until now...

And a special extra credit one for Barto or anybody else....

And I know the 2nd one. :tiphat:

There is only one. It was sold few years ago in a Spares Day as a project. Only the body remains.

KK, I hope these will be the 2 ugliest guesses we'll see here.

    Edit:
Powell Sport? Was it the car with the tubes in the rear fender to load fishing rods ?

Cute car this old Simca. The hardtop 2 doors was called "Grand Large" or "Monaco"

Barto, you're pretty sharp on the American stuff, and you're unbeatable on the European wagons. I'm not that sharp on the Euro stuff, mostly because we didn't get a lot of lower-volume stuff over here in the U.S. Also, until the internet, we didn't even see any literature on European vehicles. You had to go to some specialty book store where they stocked the Euro vehicle magazines.......
