So far, it only applies to 2007 New Cars. But watch when they become 'old' cars. It's unusual for our DOT to make so many changes to imports so frequently.

57 MPG in 1987???

CNN reported that the 1987 Honda CRX (Model HF) was getting 57 mpg. The car weighed 1,800 pounds and had a 58 HP engine:

I think that was on a US gallon. So it would be 20% more on that 1987 model. For a puddle-jumper in town, that sounds darn good.
