    I know the US bill sets regulations on new cars, but it's going ripple down into stricter emissions tests on older rides.

    Subtle ways to control cross-border trade in vehicles?

    No immobilizers, no import (we probably made a lot of the parts in Canada.)

    So far, it only applies to 2007 New Cars. But watch when they become 'old' cars. It's unusual for our DOT to make so many changes to imports so frequently.

    I think that was on a US gallon. So it would be 20% more on that 1987 model. For a puddle-jumper in town, that sounds darn good.
