The look is the same, just some minor updates and new features. The biggest update is you can now search through your PMs.

Remind me of a story!

These 2 cannibal buddies find a drunk hunter in the jungle, after looking for food for days. Anyway, they decide how they'll munch on their prey - one from the head, one from the feet. The guy at the head looks up and asks his pal, how he's doing. He says, "I'm having a ball!" The head guy is miffed and says, "You're eatin' too fast!"

On another sedgeway, I'm missing the end of one finger, so my top speed is about 13 WPM. But now I get why I miss some of your posts. You're writing too fast! :biglaugh: I'm a slow reader too.

    life'slesson

My trumpet teacher, gave me this pearl of wisdom,at a time a trumpeter named Maynard Ferguson was popular(for those who have no idea who I'm talking about;Maynard Ferguson was to trumpets, what Eddie VanHalen is to guitars) "Any damned fool can go fast, but a wise man takes the time to do things right." In the world of cars,be the wise man while you're working on your car---be the damned fool when you're driving it!;)

    Love Maynard's work. (y)

Yup, the tale is in the details. You build right the first time, cause you won't have time to do it over.

Definately a good plan to follow. I am always very meticulous when I work on my car, that's why I don't like to have my friends help so much, they don't do things my way and I get upset by the lack of order. But from my typo's here, you can tell I don't worry too much when posting. I know you guys'll get it even if things are a little muddled!

The thing Maynard had in common with cars was the word "screech"!:rofl2:
And I hope you went out and bought some Kenny Dorham/Lee Morgan albums.

I have a few Herb Alpert albums.Does that count?..My trumpet teacher was Johnny Lucas,of the Firehouse Five+2,a Dixieland Jazz Band put together by Ward Kimball,a Disney animation artist. They did most of the Jazz music you hear in Disney movies from around 1948 to the late Sixties.Including The Jungle Book...I have a few Louis Armsrong albums too.My parents were members of the Southern California Hot Jazz Society, and I grew up listening to the likes of Teddy Buckner and Sylvester Rice.I also have a Chuck Mangione album or two, around here somewhere.:thumbs2:

Have you ever heard an album called 'Pressure Cooker'?

Thelma Houston, Bill Withers. A bunch of jazz heavies made this limited edition album. Its like driving a convertible Imperial, naked!!! Hot! I think Alpert and Mangione are on it too. Love to get a tape or CD version.

I saw Herb with his latin band in Miami a few years back. All the guys in the band were from Cuba or Puerto Rico.
Man it was so hot- like Miles Davis meets salsa fusion!

    say what the hey!

No...I hadn't heard of the album Pressure Cooker, but, now that you've mentioned it,I'll be having an eye out for it.;) And Herb has never been just Tijuana Taxi. The theme from the first Casino Royale movie is a rippin' piece of music.Probably the best Bond theme song ever, and it was a the opening of a spoof. And,like Carlos Santana,he's not afraid to admit that Mexican music has European,Arabic and African roots.:49: His version of Aranjuez is my favorite.Better than the Isao Tomita version by "that much".:) Would have loved to have been there for that Caribean show in Miami.:p
