Well, I did an OOPS. The Cruise control runs the headlights, the turn signal and the Hazard flashers. I started to clean the letters off without checking if they were decals, but I stopped when I did notice. If I''m lucky the paint will work, if not, I'll have to print some on the Deskjet and make new decals (gelatin).

Yeah, but we traded in our old, dull, long teeth of old age, for store bought shark teeth. Cuidado! Tiburones!!! :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

I do but it's on the steering wheel as it's a factory installation vice dealer. I really need to find an uncracked steering wheel though as mine has cracks the size of the Grand Canyon and the cruise control switches are held on with aviation safety wire. Otherwise that's one system that works better than the cruise control the the 92 tbird.

I didn't keep my 1981 Futura Wagon long enough to see it crack, but I've had the swizzel-stick type before and found it reliable. I guess I'll find out soon enough. Thanks. :)

Here's a couple of pictures of my steering wheel cruise control set up. Note the breaks in the steering wheel. I haven't been able to find a replacement with the cruise contol buttons.:banghead3:

I'll keep my eye out for a good one, probably a Zephyr/Marquis. They usually give them away here. You could just use your own center pad, right?

Don't go out of your way. I think shipping something like that would be more than it's worth. I have been thinking of repairing it when and if I get desparate. The cruise swithes are surronded by a plastic piece that has deteriorated but I could possibly mold new ones with a tailight repair kit.

Of course the cracked origonal gives the car the "old" ambiance.:biglaugh:

Yeah, you can't get that 'Retro Look and Feel' anymore. It's just not an option! :biglaugh:

I'm due for a road trip. I've got the itch!! If things go well, I may take a drive and pester the Rev on the westcoast, and then down your way, and down to visit some really good friends in Guadalajara, then over to Monterrey on the Northeast coast of Mexico and back up here. We'll see.

No pills for this puppy. I take the odd Tylenol for sore or frozen muscles. The rest is good Mexican and French Canadian home cookin'! Not one prepared food comes in this house, not even Pizza. My wife will get the odd pang for KFC, but we like our concoctions and grow most of our veggies, even the Tomatillos (green salsa tomatoes).

I really got interested in spices when I lived in Mexico and my wife said that Canadian food is really bland, until I started cooking French Canadian food. Throw in some Mexican secrets and WOW! Healthy too!

We usually grow our own, but the car crowded out the garden last summer. We preserve enough until the new crop. She's almost out, so she's dragging out her salsa pangs.
