Sounds like something I shuda gone to. Glad you guys had a good time. You'll have to put up a 'Want' list of parts for the Cooga. We found a blue Fairmont, with some decent BLUE plastic trim parts. I know the door panels, etc. are different, but maybe these will work.
Here's some photos for ya all..... ALL TAKEN AT "FABULOUS FORDS FOREVER", KNOTT'S BERRY FARM, APRIL 19, 2009 Here's Scott's Car Domain page: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/324557
More.... LICENSE PLATE SAYS "CAMMER". HMMMM.....DOES IT HAVE ONE OF THOSE RARE 427 OHC ENGINES? I DIDN'T GET A LOOK AT THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.
The 61 Squire with the S O H C plate belongs to John Vermeersch, a very long-time Ford affiliate. Some of you may know him as the Ford performance parts 'answer guy'. Anyhow, the Squire does not have a Cammer; the plate usually resides on the front of his 61 Skyliner, which in fact does have a Cammer. First saw that car at a Shelby national convention in Dearborn in 1990 (?). Very unassuming car, until you look under the hood. Shook hands with John at a high-noon meeting of several FE-Forum posters. Then, I melted.
Thanks for posting Krash. I haven't even downloaded the camera yet and we apparently think alike as I took pretty much the same pictures. I did get some shots of the Pinto wagons present. I didn't notice a picture if mine though. I'm crushed.
^ ^ ^ ^ Sorry, Steve. I didn't take any shots of your wagon or Hal's because I knew they had already been posted here before. In hindsight, I was wrong - would have been nice to post some with you guys standing beside your machines. Please post some yourselves.....(Sorry).
Here's hundreds if not thousands of photos of cars at the show and cars arriving at the show. Mine is about the middle of page 15 but they called my Cougar a Ford LTD. http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=fabulous+fords+forever+2009&m=text
Dude, you know the chances of even a knowledgeable Ford-o-phile getting yours right is minimal. Though I'm sure it's irritating, I kinda dig it. When people want to refer to mine as a Country Squire, I find that irritating, too. --Hal
I'm really not irritated. It's actually funny. Most of the pictures are untitled but mine is....wrong but titled. I enjoyed the experience.
That's a classy looking ride! Send the photographer a quick email. I'm sure he'd be interested to have the correct info on it as well. if you don't, I will... Sure like all them broncos...
