A few years back, we had a situation here where someone cut out a large section of cable from under the Interstate 5 bridge hoping for a big load of copper. Turned out to be fiber optics and cause a huge Internet outage here in Vancouver.
And I laughed when someone tried to sell me the Brooklyn bridge! A while back there was a rash of thefts at high schools around here. Some guys were stealing the aluminum bleachers from athletic fields to sell for scrap. They weren't drug addicts or anything, just out of work construction workers. I hope nobody steals the aluminum siding on my mobile home while I'm away!
according to the property owner they do occasionaly use the bridge, enough that they are gonna rebuild it.
Keith Jones thinks 200 yards is a long walk ...city boy! Stealing a bridge...that's actually pretty clever. Kinda like that Johnny cash song "one piece at a time". Maybe they should be looking for a new bidge that just seemed to appear out of no where that some small town has been waiting for the G to replace. problem solved!
