Mike, I love it when you talk dirty!:rofl2:

Well, lots of those I6 owners are probably smiling smugly today, with gas prices driving prices for everything out of site. The V8 guys can barely pass a bank machine, let alone a gas station.

And yes the 6 does sound nice with a 2-1/2" single exhaust. Looking forward to this summer.

I'll stick with the single exhaust and 2" pipe.
It's the stock manifold that's the biggest constriction on my setup.
I have a modified head with exhaust porting.

Oversized valves, pocket porting, 264/274/112 cam.
It kind of burbles like an inboard boat motor. :) glublglublgubbetyglubglub

You want farty? Now this is farty!
You notice these singers either loose their tops or their bottoms to make up for lose of talent.
Or have very little on to start with.

By the way nothing sounds better than a well tuned six with split manifolds and dual exhaust going thru Smithys mufflers.:yahoo:

I was at a car show today and I came across this 67-68 model XT Falcon wagon. I thought you might like this old original girl complete with patina and all. The only thing missing was the surf board! I thought it was interesting to show you all the things we need to avoid like the steering box, pitman arm and drag link along with the column change in this case auto linkage running down the fire wall, at least you wont have to worry about any of this except for perhaps the drag link.

    Cat and Fat?
I doubt the two of you put together have as much talent as Tina does in her little finger.

Sure does test one's concept of using a bigger shoehorn (or hammer) :biglaugh:

Compared to some cars, that's a big open space . Look at all the grass just waiting to have headers aiming down there.

Yeah, but the Steering box is out of site too. Can't imagine how hot the grease can take in one of those.

The steering box on 55-57 Chevys often has the headers touching it. I had to operate on mine with a ballpeen hammer to clear 1/8th of an inch. It still steers!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Only need them on the other side. :biglaugh: I think I'll have to figure a way to keep my AC hoses way over to the fender well away from the headers though. Idling in traffic on a hot day, could get dicey.

They have a foil wrap for AC hoses and even header pipes.
You won't need AC till July.

Unless you drive it to Mexico to visit. You better hurry with that old house and then get the wagon finished. You're wasting time on the computer.
Next Fat Tedy will be harrasin you!
