unless this is medium adriatic blue, and im just seeing it from a weird angle; this is that rare purple//blue color.....and i mean super rare!
I haven't looked at it in person and none of the pics available seem to show it any better. The seller claims that it has custom paint but I don't think it's been repainted, just pinstriped. I believe it's a normal blue just from a funny angle. I'm so close to having the money to buy this one I can taste it!
Oh man, and I'd just eaten too. Those poor deformed people. What ever happened to them? They buy convertibles instead of station wagons and aliens got ahold of them?
Maybe after the love of your life makes her decision, and if it comes down to this one, you should go see if they will take a deposit to hold the car until you are able to complete? Just a thought if you want it that badly
Yeah, we've been thinking about that too. He's lowered the price on this Roadmaster twice over the last couple of months. He's claimed that he's firm and won't go any lower each time. Part of me wants to get my foot in the door on it and part of me wants to see if he lowers it again. I think the Mrs' love of that '68 Caprice is just a pipe dream given that the dealership seems to be focused on selling a Barrett-Jackson quality of cars. I think it's out of our reach at the moment. It's just come up so suddenly, I'm hesitant to leap without a lot of thought. I'm willing if she is but it means a little re-ordering of our priorities to make it happen. Assuming I'm right about the '68 then I'm back to Plan "A" which is a 90's B-Body (possibly this Roadmaster) and then start shopping for a classic wagon next which would replace my Parisienne. Our driveway holds two cars and the garage holds a third. With a little more room, I could see me putting less thought into how they get shuffled about. Plan "A" is a much easier pill to swallow. We'll see how it plays out tomorrow when she gets the numbers.
It's just occurred to me that I've hijacked FatTedy's thread. I didn't realize just how easily it can happen. Sorry FT!
