Color-coded door latch bars - Ford

    Yeah, we're going to the high-50s too. What's going on? This is really off-season. But I'll take it.:)

    Color Coding Follow-up:

    Red is the passenger side. Green is the Driver's side. Yellow points to the plastic (white or yellow) connectors.

    The rear doors are a major PITA. You've got to assemble the long rods to the door latch, slide them in, between the door panel and window regulator, without the belt-line weather strip.

    You have to remove the division bar bolt, because you have to squeeze the latch/long rod connectors and rotate it to mount the latch with the three countersink screws into the jamb. Major pain. Almost makes you wish you masked it off, and didn't undercoat the inside of the doors. But it does go in. The shop manuals also make a point that it is difficult and tricky, so think about it. The front doors are relatively straightforward and no tricky stuff.

    I got them all in and the doors close, unlock, everything works just fine.
