I'm taking the bus to Holland, late this afternoon. The guy with the Suzuki didn't answewr my e-mails, after I said that as long as he has all inspection and repair receipts, I'll buy the car. Maybe, it was a turned back odometer scam. I called the lady, to ask if she has sold the Daihatsu and she said that she'll hold it for me, until I get there early tomorrow morning. I found it, on Google Earth. But, it didn't show up on Streetview of which the image is four years old. Either she was driving it around or she didn't buy it used yet. Letting fate decide was okay. I wanted that Daihatsu more, because of the 3-banger. You can get more Daihatsu junkyard engines with low milage than Suzukis, simply because they rusted to extinction more often
550€. I suppose, that's a fair price, as long as there're no surprises underneath. She's an older lady. So, I suppose her brothers or dad never showed her how to set back odometers. I hope. What's unknown is what German licensing and inspection is going to cost. I'm gussing that a major inspection is on the agenda, even though Dutch inspections are in no way more lenient than German ones. In any case, it'll be interesting to see what's involved with importing cars from Holland. It might be a way to earn money
I have known Tim for along time, but he didn't let me know about the open house! So he gave my wife and I a private tour for about an hour. It could be a fantastic place, but it needs a lot of work. Hear is a Shot of my LS2 powered Mallet Solstice outside of the place. They have a LS7 powered version inside already! Numbered 1 car before mine, but but built 1 month after my car.
THE Tim Dye? Very cool. Since I got my Pontiac I joined the POCI and the early times chapter. The smoke signals mag is great! It read the thing cover to cover soon as it comes in the mail.
He is a Dedicated arrow head nut to be sure! He keeps reminding me how much better the POCI newsletter/Mag is now that he is editing it! I guess I need to renew my 20 expired old membership!
Yes, a collector friend of mine had the only prototype ever made. It is green and white. I have somewhere a picture of it next to the Ford one in red and white.
one sad thing: the collector friend is seriously ill and is selling his whole collection, about 40 cars, on various auctions. The Edsel will be part of the sales.
Not a dent anywhere. It's hard to say what the old Jap Isuzu is worth. Doesen't look like a bad five grand spent. Especially, if the tow story is true

This and the 280Z were the only respectable Jap cars at highschool. If you drove a 210 or Corolla, you had better have flashed wads of cash or had plenty of quality drugs, if female occupancy of the passenger seat was desired. If you had neither wad nor dope and she got in anyway, then that was proof that she liked you and could present you to her parents
