I read somewhere that those Dodge Aries engines were troublesome. If not, that's a bargain price, for that car.
That lady never wrote me back, concerning that wagon. I guess all that export beuracracy (only on the German side) scared her. Too bad. I liked the looks of it and wanted a 3-cylinder.
I found something similar, here in Germany, what'll also soon end up a "not see anymore". It's an '97 Suzuki Wagon R+. There are newer ones, on that site. But, I prefer the looks of the first generation ones. Unlike that Daihatsu, I don't need to have the Suzuki safety inspected until this month next year. The Daihatsu looks like it has to get that rust fixed, within a month. I've owned a Suzuki Swift. Which was a reliable car and easy to work on. This one looks tight under the hood. But, that's what you get, when you want a short vehicle. After requesting he show me pictures of the engine compartment, he readilly posted a few in the ad: https://www.autoscout24.de/angebote...56ac475-62c3-ec24-e053-e250040a5dfc?cldtidx=5

Being that it is a 21 year old car, the drivetrain will look a little rough. This one supposedly has only 112,000 kilometers (70,000 miles?) I'm writing him, this morning, and will ask if he's got all service records. If so, I'm going up there and snatch it up, despite Sunny not liking the color. If she likes the Daihatsu so much, dad can buy it and load it into a container with a couple Brit sportscars. She can then convert it ino a doll house, until she's old enough to drive it to show off at highschool

I can't tell if that's grease or corrosion around those battery terminals. But, I'm bringing a battery terminal brush and some tools with me, so that I can make it home with it

The only major rust issue visible is on that front door and left rear one. Which is no big deal, of course

I sent dude a message telling him to reach out to the Lane Motor Museum here is Nashville. This thing would be perfect and probably the only hope in getting anywhere near what he’s asking

Believe it or not I just saw a like new one of these when I had a tour of the soon to open Pontiac Transportation Museum in Pontiac MI, they had one with less than 50 miles donated to them. I had never heard of one before last Saturday.

Grizz you are correct, that thing would fit right in at the Lane Museum, with all the other odd little cars there.

I was just reading about that! You got a tour already you lucky duck?! I have yet to visit the one in Illinois. That might be a good road trip to both museums...in the chieftain! In about 10 years:grumpy: image.jpg

we are posting cars that were either very popular in their day or some that were a little quirky. but don't think anyone has mentioned

OUR WAGONS - each of us are driving cars that you just don't see anymore.
Haven't seen a Colony Park wagon in over a year,
