If it were my car I know what I would do. The pix do NOT do the color of that vinyl on the 3rd seat justice. That color is a beautiful color that I have never seen before in any car. I would DEFINITELY have the seats redone in THAT color and material,,,it is drop dead gorgeous. Even if you find better seats, I would do them over in that color and material. The car would be even more sensational!:thumbs2:

I'm not sure just how much a shop can do for you with those seats, Marshall. About 77, G.M. went to solid foam seats. They just don't have the best of support. In my 84, I had to have the foam fixed twice in the first 30,000 miles. Not sure what seats to suggest as replacements, either. For the lumbar, inflatable supports can be added. For the seat cushion, there isn't much but to replace the foam.

Thanks for that info, Mike. I would have thought they would be a spring/foam combination.

I can't believe how much the DMV wants for personalized plates...$100 extra every re-registration...on top of the re-registration fees...and if you want one of the specialty plates personalized...even more!!!

I have the Pacific Wonderland plates on my Caddy (actually got them for my Park Avenue, but transferred them when I bought the Cadillac). They cost an extra $100, but only up front...nothing extra every other year. They aren't the type of plates that would have come on the car in 1987 (yellow/blue, ABC123 type), but closer than the tree plates. I have a set of yellow/blue plates from an old 1985 Town Car. But to put them on (since they're no longer issued for passenger cars) would require them being reclassified as personalized plates...including the personalized plate fees and all...so I stuck with the PW plates. I like them a lot on the older cars.

BTW, I didn't realize that the Pontiac's could be had with Automatic Climate Control. Score! I'm neurotic when it comes to that feature...my cars have got to have it. I've seen that same version you have in your car on early 80's Buick LeSabres (before the touch-screen type came along). Interesting (or at least to me, anyhow) is that the Oldsmobiles, with their nearly-luxury car status, only had the semi-automatic climate control (TempMatic) available. Even the Chevrolet could have Automatic Climate Control.

Anyhow, glad to see the wagon's at home.
