If only we could have it the other way around where the newer image could be in black and white, while the old one would be taken on color film. That way, the modern dressed-down human zoo entering Disney's park would look less cartoonish

U-haul/landscaping supply on 15510 Joilet Road in Plainfield, Illinois?

If so, they've really blighted it down, since then

This place looked better in black & white than it does today. That's the trade-off. Today we have better cars. But, no laws that govern style. Back then, such laws weren't necessary. Notice how vintage vehicles used to harmonize with their surroundings. Nowadays, we're plagued by an automotive zoo without cages

Amazing how in most shots, the original picture is usually the better one.

Amen we seem to bow down to progress, when Progress only turns out to be a tattoo shop, and a Carl’s Jr.

Yeah, these days, you can never be sure if they're keeping missing kids locked up in some of those basements or what. Back then, you also had a few freaks blended in to your surroundings. But, not as many as are running around today.
Black Hole Sun, won't you come, like the song says

This neighborhood has gotten enriched to the point where they have to seal what used to be a safe street crossing, in order to make it safe to contemporary urban standards, As usual, it's all about dealing with the symptoms, rather than the cause

I'd rather eat what they stocked at Pamona Market than chemically-raised Chinese fish they now are allowed to peddle.

Ok. Finally a picture where the new one might be as nice, or better than the old one. The house looks a bit more manicured than the old picture. Of course the Caddy Convertible is a pretty nice touch. Looks like Paul Drake leaning in to it. Wonder if somebody’s assumed room temperature behind the wheel. He’s checking the steering column for the registration.
