It is still there, I pass it almost weekly, the picture on the bottom on the left side is how it looks now. It is supposed to be an actual rubber tire, I cannot verify that. But I do know many times when I pass it has arrows sticking out of it, so it must be soft enough for them to penetrate far enough to stick.
Cool Springs Service Station Kingman Nevada Still there, no longer sells Gas, but is a Rt 66 tourist trap. But we enjoyed the stop a few years ago.
An obvious victim of global warming. Caused of course by many years of large gas guzzling station wagons and campers traversing up and down the mother road. You bunch of churlish louts!
I didn't photoshop it, but I suppose it is possible that some one else did. I posted it the way I found it.
It sure looks like it. I'm glad to see this building is still standing and what looks to be very good condition.
Yeah, but the motorvehicles are now all wrong. They make the place look Hell on Earthish. As I was looking up the place, there were plenty of very scenic images. I could consider moving to there, not only because it looks like a paradise located in a breathtaking valley scenery. It's also far enough away from both San Francisco and Los Angeles. If it stays a well-kept secret, it should stay pretty much Riff Raff-free for a while
It's no well kept secret, it's a bedroom community for San Jose and San Francisco. It's overcrowded like crazy (I used to live down the road). A good majority of the old buildings in and near downtown are still there and kept up so it's quite awesome to walk around in.
