I like that. For your sound deadener go to your favorite HOME IMPROVEMENT store. Much cheaper than those specialty automotive brands of heat shields and sound deadeners.

I agree, but I work in the right place to get one heck of a deal on the automotive kind.

Trouble is with those plastic cards they find out where I live and send reminders I owe money.

Hurray!! Speaker bars spotted alive in the wild!!

Dear Dewey Satellite, Denny, and Station Wagon lovers,

Well, someone on the other forum I frequent often (V-8 Buick) found a universal-fit speaker bar that is clearly in production and available. Here is the relevant snippet from that post:

If you could indeed find out I would be interested. Perhaps it is the same model, but 8" speakers would be really outstanding!!

Don't worry, my trusty wagon will be getting those too. My worry is that indeed it will be the only "music" that can be heard inside. I intend to instruct the muffler shop to take extreme measures to keep the noise inside the car to acceptable levels.

    Cheers, Edouard

Yeah yeah Saf, I needed a boot in the a$$ this summer, but I lost some motivation between running and then closing my small business. Well with that lame excuse being said, now it's a bit cold, but this spring I plan to get my butt in gear and be ready to show for the car show season. I really miss driving my wagon and it's making me crazy. I fondle my new steering wheel on a daily basis...I'm glad I have you guys to keep me going, I look at the cars and projects on the forum and I stay motivated. Progress pics should be coming soon.

Thanks for the kind words about my big green baby!

Thanks Saf57. My ole friend silverfox has been slipping up in helping pushing and shoving these young whippersnappers. No doubt there are still others who need a boot in the butt to push them over the edge. We were never like this!
Fondling his steering wheel is good therapy and hopefully Dewey can remember where and how it goes back in his Satellite sometime during 2013. With the cold and snow he probably can't even get to the garage right now.

You're soooo right Cat, not to mention I only have half my garage thanks to needing a place to put all the crap from the shop after we moved. It just happens to be the half where my wood burning stove is too. Ugh. Can't even get to it. I want my garage back!!! I keep bugging the wife to get the stuff out but the 18" of snow is making it tough.

This steering wheel goes on the left side...right?

Depends..... What country is Utard in?

I can barely see my panel truck in the garage. And so much important crap outside the big door I can't push it out. Anyone need 25 bags of hard cement? :slap:

Ha ha! I've got five of those too! They got wet and well...yeah.

Utard is smack dab in the middle of Mormania, a constant reminder from the public at large as to what a social deviant I am. I smoke, drink, swear and have sex...I'm considered the devil.

Just proves you are red blooded American male--or female-whichever the case may be.

But can't those things be done while in the garage working on the wagon interior? ;)

PS---Did you notice a 50# bag of hardened cement now weighs more like 100# ? These are under a carport but apparently it gets damp here in NW Florida in the boonies after a few years. Almost forgot why I bought the cement.:banghead3:

Never put off till tomorrow what you ----------- whatever!
