Yeah Rev, I think that there are a lot of us wagon owners out there that are just "falcon around", or is it "falcon off", or is it that they are just a bunch of "falcon idiots"?

    "Falcon A" buddy,

    Update:

pulled the gas tank since the old fuel was making things a little bit too stinky in the garage....the rubber filler tube that links to the tank was old and rotten and therefore caused the leak....also pulled out the custom bucket seats that were in there....they have a ford # listed on the side where the handle is...believe they might be from a '70 mustang or torino

Fine condition for a major project! Barely any major rust, except the roof and bumper. Its solid where it counts!(y)

believe me there is rust elsewhere....floor pans/toe boards will have to be redone and the spare tire well on the passenger side rear quarter is shot....a little bit of rust under the car but yeah remarkably in good shape

I picked up a correct '65 289 for the car today.....paid $125 for it and the guy who I bought it from claims that it was in his garage since '83....going to the shop to get it hot tanked and bored....let the results be told from that...hopefully it is not cracked by the looks of the pics I have

Congrats. Wouldn't it have been easier to give the man another $200 and drive it home?
I can't believe the guy would go to the trouble of pulling it all rather than compromise on the price some.
What am I missing to have this story make sense?
There is or at least was a pretty active Falcon club a friend used to belong to. I used to service his Falcons and he was always able to source hard to find parts through the club.
    Have fun Falcon around

the 302 didn't have everything setup to run plus the car has no brakes....unless I could do the flintstones that wouldn't work....actually I am in the Falcon Club of America and yes I have called around for various parts.....just been hard getting with people's schedules and all
