Yeah, I'll figure something out. Wheels and tires are pretty far down the list for right now though. Next up is the fuel system, then the brakes.

Still trying to find NOS fuel lines. Specifically pump to carb lines. I will be pulling the carb for a rebuild next week. Right now I'm tinkering woth my Suzuki samurai. We're supposed to get some snow tomorrow and I'll need the 4x4

So, here is how my fuel lines are currently routed. I had an idea for the pre bent hard line. Would the line from a 460 truck be the same? Lmc truck lists the line in either oe material or stainless. If you guys think it will be the same, I will give it a shot. Only 24 bucks at that. 20180306_142807.jpg Screenshot_20180306-170146.png

From the pump to the carb, that could be the same. You'd need to order for a '77-'79 truck or Bronco, as I think the brackets from '80 are different, so the line would be different.

And it has to be the same engine as yours; the 351M/400 line is definitely different from the 429/460.

Right, my car is a 70 429. I would order from a 70 460 truck. If you think that would work, I will order it. I also pulled the carb off today to do the rebuild.

What I currently need help with: what do the fuel filter look like originally? In the picture i posted you can see the glass bulb filter I have that's mounted on the fender. That's the only filter I have. I think that there's supposed to be a filter on the carb inlet. Pics would be cool... I'll post anything I find.

Thank you. I'll get them both ordered now and hopefully have this car running on its own in a week or less.

It's always exciting to be making progress towards getting an old car back on the road.

The carb has to have the screw-in filter for pressure regulation, but having the glass filter would keep that screw-in filter from getting dirty too quickly. The screw-in filters start becoming a problem after 5000 miles, so pre-filtering makes it last longer.

When I ordered the fuel line I ordered 3 screw in filters too. I'm sure they'll dirty out pretty quick with the way this car was stored. And if not, I'll have em to use.

That's good. Once I convert my Ranchero to SEFI, my filter stash, aluminum factory intake and two carbs will go up for sale.

I'm in the process of converting a sbc in a 53 panel truck (Not original engine) to efi using the holley kit. It's a pretty nice set up.

Sadly, I don't have the scratch for a setup like that. I have to hit the junkyards for what I need.

Yeah, it's not cheap. It was a customer's car, so I didn't pay for it. I couldn't afford it either.

Does anyone know where a fella might be able to find an a.c. idle up solenoid (or whatever it's called)? Mine works great, but the rubber boot on the end is ruined and looks terrible. I would like to replace it while I'm rebuilding the carb.

Sorry for no updates lately, I've been pretty busy. We're buying a new house woth a few barns for my collection to go in and I've been truck shopping as well.
