Hello all! I am the Chief Mechanic of the Detroit Arsenal of Democracy Museum in Detroit, MI.

We picked up this here wagon for our collection from Texas. Car was purchased new by NASA in late 67. It was originally gold metallic, but NASA painted it a very large metal flake Blue. We've had it in a few local parades, but I've had a lot to do mechanically. Still more, like a missing power tailgate window motor (and switch), AC controls are broken and need replaced...

    Enjoy the photos! 20230527_133530.jpg

I've never heard of N.A.S.A. having a fleet equipped with gumball machine lights. I'm wondering as to who they were chasing with these, if it wasn't entra terrestrial space aliens

    Welcome to the forum!

I guess in one respect, you COULD call your Country Sedan a 'space ship'.............
