    Very puzzling, very puzzling.......
This is a 6-passenger Squire, otherwise, that second seat would be split - 2/3rds on left, 1/3 on right (3rd seat in these faces forward). I get the impression that the plate thingy is a stock item - does not look home-fabricated to me. Paint finish is worn and matches the seat back frame. The half-circle cutout looks to me like it would sit on the floor tunnel, like this might be a 'foot' to support some part of the second seat, in the middle. Can't figure out how it would work, though. On these big Fords, I believe the 2nd seat folds down by:
    1) Bottom cushion is hinged at the front. It simply flips forward 180 degrees and ends up upside-down against the back of the front seat.
    2) Second seat backrest appears to be hinged at the bottom and simply folds down to but up against the flipped-over edge of the bottom cushion.

I'm with you on this wagon, Tedy.
    Good things:
    - The upholstery. Nice job
    - The wheels
    Bad things:
    - The wood grain job. Looks like a Home Depot experiment.
    - The steering wheel and gauge panel. Just looks like 'cheap bling' to me.
    - The small 289 engine. Guess it's OK for puttering around town, but I would want at least a 390 in this.
