    appreciate it guys; really love it; spent some good money on it but I believe it to be worth it and its good to go for the next 20 years; interior is truly remarkable and totally original. Has all the goodies; just took car on a 1300 mile trip to SF and back, fully loaded;

    I know what you mean, these things just eat up the miles! I wished I had caught up with you when we made it back to L.A. (San Diego not being too far away) just to meet you and see your beautiful wagon, maybe next time!

    Cheers Mike.

    While I think of it, I know you had it painted, but is the wood original or was it replaced when it was painted?

    not really sure on the wood, by the way the rest of car is and was I (like to) believe original; only hood and front fenders seems to have been painted. Yes, all please stop by in SD if you are close or in town.
    Thanks all for the nice compliments!

    Well deserved compliments - beautiful '76 Caprice Estate. Was this the one that you bought of a Los Angeles airport hangar after years of sitting last year?! :D

    What's wrong with sellers any more? Couldn't even hose it off? If I were selling it, I'd probably make sure it ran, or explain why not. The only way it'd get to my house would be with assistance from the winch cable on my trailer.

    You guy don't even know what the sale price is! Seller could only want $500 for it. Shipping $1,000, hell I'd buy it for that.
