    I'll offer three reasons.

    1. Most of his photos are upside down. Doesn't help his cause.

    2. His descriptive terms ("Fair", "Fair-Good", etc.), as I've noted before, are pretty meaningless. He really needs to do a better job of describing the condition of the engine and of the car overall.

    3. That one photo of the rear end with the rust all along the bottom of the bumper is doing him no favors.

This is a car that apparently runs ok but doesn't look very good. He needs to do more to dress it up. He makes this comment:

    "Pictures show it best."

Actually, the opposite is true. His photos aren't helping him at all, and the one above, with the duct tape and rust, is probably enough to turn off most potential buyers.

You make very good points. I never actually noticed the duct tape before, just the crunchy bumper. Does make you wonder what lurks beneath.
Too bad as the '74 Custom Cruiser is rarely seen, as is true of all 1974 GM clamshells.

I have never seen a (supposedly) functional GM clamshell do this badly in eBay bidding. $226 with just under three days to go.

The heaviest clamshell wagon of all if I remember correctly. I think curb weight tipped the scales around 5300 or 5400 pounds?

It is a good feeling to have an Olds around you. ;)

Incidentally, the dual sport mirrors were rarely seen on the clamshell wagons.

Yes, the heaviest of the clamshell Custom Cruisers, at least. I don't have weight information for the other GM makes. The '74 two-seat CC weighed 5,236 lbs while the three-seat is listed at an even 5,300 lbs.

If he's willing to take $1000 for this car, we've learned two things. First, he's priced the car to sell. Second, there's got to be lots wrong with it. That's not much more than parts car territory.

Supposedly sold this afternoon for just $1000. That is parts car pricing.

Just noticed that this is an original owner 40-year-old wagon. Also has Tempmatic ATC A/C. Certainly worth saving at that price. There may just be little demand for these in Canada.
