I needed cash so the maroon wagon found a new home. And a great new owner who loves it as much as I still do. Anyway, this one won't be in my possesion very long either. I have a cherry 74 Caprice 2 door right now and that is my summer cruiser for now. But, I will clean it up and cruise it to the drive in a few times this summer. I have a friend that has been wanting a wagon and this will probably go to him

I think the paint will buff out and the wood will shine up. They started on the rear quarters but gave up.

Well guys I picked it up today. Car is loaded with options. Cruise, tilt, power windows, power locks, power seat, locking storage in cargo area, self leveling air ride, low fuel indicator, fender turn signal and indicators, and more. The sunroof has been filled in and you cannot tell it from the outside. Inside they made a cover with matching fabric and it looks good. Overall a very nice wagon with to s of options. I got a smoking deal on it and I will be reposting it back up for sale here. I paid $3,300 and have $200 in fuel. So if anyone is interested they can have it for $3,500. I will get new pictures of it once I get home and clean it up some. Paint is awesome except the roof,

Pulled all the paperwork out of the glovebox. In the envelope is the original title, original build sheet, original sales invoice, original dealer prep inspection paperwork, owners manual, odometer statement (8.2 miles when delivered)

I have a question, on the fender indicator there are three indicators. One is turn signal, but what are the other two? They appear to be blue and green. And they even ordered the car with a Buick Rally wheel spare rim. Crazy,

Yes, the fiber optics lamp monitor option was offered only on the Buick Estate Wagon during the GM clamshell years. There should also be an interior monitor located somewhere above the tailgate window to show when the taillights/brake lights are working.

I don't believe the sunroof was factory. There are no line items on the build sheet stating it was. However, it has a power switch for the sunroof and it appears to match the other switches. Who knows

Yeah, I'd say chances are pretty good it's an aftermarket moon roof. Also makes sense that the clear is peeling off the roof, since that area was painted when the moon roof was filled in.

That is likely an ASC conversion, out of Detroit. ASC did a bunch of factory-installed power sunroofs, T-tops, targas, and convertible conversions for the Big Four, plus Toyota and Nissan, for many years. Usually, the sunroof cars were simply spec'd as being such, then once they rolled off the line, they went to ASC for a sunroof or a convertible conversion (think early '80s Toyota Celica, late '70s T-bird, or any other coupe or hardtop that was not built on the factory line as a ragtop.

The ASC cars are considered factory-built cars by most people.

If that is an ASC conversion, and it sure looks like it may well be, it would be well worth looking into re-establishing it. That would be really, really rare, especially in a wagon. One thing, who ever did the install made it look factory, and that takes a LOT of talent.
