Interested in your wagon. I am in Cambridge IL, so I would have to have it shipped back here to me. Is it a 72 or a 73. In 72 they did not have Caprice Estate wagons, and I notice it has Caprice Estate Emblems on it and no louvers in the tailgate. I have the twin 73 to this one but it is a plain jane car. If I buy it how long can it sit
there? It migh take me a couple weeks to get a transporter lined up.
Call me so we can discuss it further please. Thanks. 815-409-1102

Oh I see. Yeah, how cool would it be to have two of these, the same year and color!

OML, he is an idiot. Anyone with any sense would know your email to him isn't a scam... especially since you gave your #. In my past experience, owners of the '73 Caprice wagons have been uneasy to deal with. lol.

    Oh well. lol.

He actually called me and apologized as he did think I was a scammer. I made him an offer and be swears it is a 72 as the title says it is a 72. I am waiting for more pictures but I have already put it on uship.com to try to find it a ride home

It has been painted. It makes me wonder if it was hit in the rear at one time and someone put a 73 Tailgate on it and the Kingswood Emblems. Either way really does not matter to me. But I REALLY like the front end on my 73

I wish I knew. I had several leads on '73's before I purchased my '72 and never had any luck with the '73 models. It was like I could either never get a reply or the owner would decide not to sell.

Well that was nice of him, sounds like he finally came to his senses. lol. I guess everyone has good reason to be suspicious these days, but that was a bit extreme... you can usually tell a scammer.

You mean the Caprice emblems? lol. Yeah if we had some front end photos it would help. It just seems to me like the car seems to be a '73 for a number of reasons... the Caprice Estate emblems rather than Kingswood Estate emblems that were used in '72, it has '73 Caprice hubcaps and the seats look like 1973 seats. 1972 seats have a different pattern, also the 1973 had a color-keyed steering wheel, like the one for sale has. So someone would have had to change the seats, steering wheel, hubcaps, and rear emblems - maybe it is a '72 and someone had a '73 parts car and made some changes? Or I wonder if the car was a very early 1973 model and happened to be titled as a 1972? I know that my 1973 Pontiac Grand Ville was made in August of 1972, so it was a very early 1973 model... however it is titled a 1973. Maybe it varied from state to state back then?

Here is the seat of a 1972 Chevy Kingswood Estate wagon...
