    Hand Painting

Hi Oak I was thinking of Hand painting mine! I have a pretty steady hand. I will try a couple first if it looks like crap I will think of something else. Nice job on the Aluminum trim. I have all that to look forward to. My high beams don;t work either. I hope it is just the dimmer switch. My Squire is still at the shop. The new . see this link,

windscreen went in yesterday, and the wheel alignment for the new front end is getting done today. All that is left is the 2 speed service. Then I can get to drive it a while

Nice work on the polish. I can't hardly wait the 3 months for finish paint. Hardly anyone has Comets anymore. My car's ancestor is going to look soooooo good.

Only if I take em out

DW, ref the lights I only ask about the lights because I am going to remove the inners like the old thunderbolts did and install an air intake, the issue with the 64 Comet is two headlights on each side so I think one is low and both on would be high?
I am not sure about how the wiring would work but I wonder if I could install a 2 stage light on the outside?

I am jealous you will be on the road already?????

Check the outer headlight - 3 prongs is Hi and Lo-beam. Inner headlight should be 2 prongs - hi-beam only.

You sure are a go-getter! Can't wait to see this Comet come together!

    Seals/Rubber

Hi Oak/fellow Wagoneers, Have you started looking for seal and rubbers yet for the Comet. I know Mac's and Dearborn have most items for Fairlane/Comet Sedans but nothing for Wagons! Dennis-Carpenter has some for Falcon wagons but none for our period, mid-size. I guess I am looking for tailgate and rear glass seals. Any suggestions anyone??
Hope to drive the Squire to work next week. Am fixing the handbrake and installing some seat belts tomorrow. Hope to drop by the panel beaters on Monday lunch. Depending on his quote for body work will be how much I have left to spend on interior and paint(I better break out the paint rollers and the wife's sewing machine!) Hows you bodywork going?

I have found that Auto Crafters has the most rubber of anyone, and the most expensive, I have not called or Contacted Dennis Yet, Check Auto Crafters website. Oak
