no idea, but with a restoration back to original (or with some light customization..provided you keep everything original with it) being so rare,
im betting if you can get documentation from nhra, this would prob fetch a decent return at barrett jackson or mecum. or just clean her up and enjoy!

Nice, nicer if it was in my drive way though. Your pics leave too much to the imagination though, they don't really show what the car is;). If it was mine I'd be asking all the same questions as you but I would drag that baby out into the sun and show tons of good pics from all around, up and down including the data plate:D

Nice. It's all there. Shouldn't be too hard to restore.
    Congratulations.

Well, 63CP...you have a lot of answers here. I don't think anyone can even ball park your question as to the value of the car. Saf57's analysis is a good one. If that were my car I would do what you are doing regarding the documentation. I would write and email ANY and ALL auto associations to build up written documentations. At the same time, I would spend all I had on the resto of the wagon. Frame off if I could afford it and if I couldn't afford it I would pick away at it and continue to bring it back to its original glory. THEN, even as it is being restored, I would travel the show circuit with all the documentation displayed so the car becomes noticed. Other Ford people will chime in and do their own searches out of curiosity and, as time goes on, you will gather more and more info. You may begin to get offers or even get the actual value of the car from an organization that is familiar with this wagon.

Just speculatin' here, but if that was my car I'd want a buyer with at least 20k in his pocket just to look at it. If it's as rare as it would appear, perhaps a lot more.

:scratchchin: I know, let's take a poll! You'd get all the hard-core internet car tire-kickers here to do all the research!

Thanks again for all the comments and input. The car will be at my house this coming Thursday, so I'll get it out in the light and take some good pics and send your way.
I haven't seen the car with my own eyes in 5 years. And back then I was sleep deprived and it was dark out. I also wasn't there to look at it, I just glanced as I was walking around the guys cars. It was not for sale so I didn't put to much time into it. I also didn't realize how rare it really was at the time.

To me the car was weird to price because a standard 9 passenger 63 Colony Park ( auto trans ) can range from $ 5000-8000 as a restorable running driver in good shape as is. Or you can find some really nice drivers that are border line show quality for $ 11-13. So to me the car was about a $ 10,000 at most if you looked at it as a restorable driver. But the guy wanted a bit more. Not $ 20,000, but up there.... it's to so hard to put a value on rare and 4 speed... damn I love 4 speed anythings, but a wagon rocks.

Thanks again, and more pics to come later this week.

Hey '82, I certainly agree with you. Of course, the fact that I own an '87 might cloud my judgment a bit.

Ryan, what a great car you found. I'm in the same boat when it comes to 4 spds. I think they make any car so much more fun to drive, even more so in a wagon. Sounds to me like you're doing all the right things to define the value of this rarity. The more official documentation you can get on it, the better you'll be. I wonder how many of the 12 are still in existence. That'd be a good thing to find out; if you have the only one remaining, holy cow!!
Don't worry about paying too much for it. If you paid what you paid for it, then it's worth what you paid for it. I've been trying to sell my house for a year now and have learned it's only worth what someone will pay for it, so that's how you can define its value. You can't be the only person in the world who feels it was worth that money.

    Hey guys,

Thanks again for the support. I ran into some issues today with the shipper but it's still looking like a Thursday delivery here in Texas.
The pictures I have posted here on the last page are all I have for now.
I will post some when she arrives... I'm pumped !!

Hey Snoot, sometimes I do feel like the only one :)

Stay tuned and if anyone is around or near Dallas shout out.

    Ryan
