Check out this Zephyr. Make sure you see the video. I think it has a couple more horsepower than stock. http://www.firstcoastcobraclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=677&p=3537#p3537
My hood rod shakes like that on a cold start! Betcha his dash cracks quicker with all that torquing, and I'm thinking positive!
I've been watching that build, what a beast. Although I think it's just the wrong kind of thing to do with a tinny little fox body. Not the greatest platform, IMHO, for those kind of builds.
I like big engines in light weight cars. Plus, the Zephyr isn't a "collector," at least not compared to something like a 60's Falcon wagon. Only problem I see is getting it to pass smog and that would depend on where it's registered. Cheers, Ken Deboy
I'll take a bow on that one! Driving that engine is like a permanent blood transfusion from an oilwell.
Live and learn every day. Andy's right and so are you. Its a special Stroker kit for the 460 blocks. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/491062-ford-557-stroker-kit.html
Well, it's a 460+....I'm inclined to agree with Andy......as much as I like big HP in a light car.....this set up seems a bit much for that particular platform. I like sleepers but I don't like this car because it isn't one. I really hate hood humps to fit a BB in a car. Just one of my dislikes. I think I see some diagonals under this car in the future.
There was a guy who did a twin turbo 460. He ended up pulling it and dropping in a 4.6 modular motor.
No it was a 2dr... http://www.undrprsr.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=category§ionid=6&id=25&Itemid=42 abandoned due to lack of hood clearance
