The chrome or polished stainless varieties I believe to be illegal, dangerous reflections.
If you are lucky enough to have yours keep 'em and just change the rubber.

Yeah....everytime a lobbyist lines the pockets of politicians for a new product...the old ones are suddenly detrimental to our health and must be outlawed.

Then I suppose you wish to outlaw all chrome trim on dashboards or window surrouds or grilles or body sides?

Good luck with that. I think the chrome dash bezel on a 2010 Ford Explorer is too distracting. You'd pretty much have to ban all cars, because they're chrome in almost every car. Maybe not a Camry CE. My Dad has one. It has chrome TOYOTA badges on the decklid. That's too distracting from the BEIGE!!!!!

This isn't my desire or doing, it was done before you were born, sport. I simply stated how it is.

Just wandering thru my catalogs and on internet I found there are still new stainless arms and blades available. Since our 55 Chevy has a modern "kit" wiper system, I will have to take the little adapter ferrel and do a match up to find new arms. Seems like the originals are too small diameter or too large, depending which adapter I use. Of course, where I bought the wiper kit they do sell $130 billet arms. :confused:Still don't even know if they would fit. And ain't no way my old wagon wants billet!

Many safety features have been legislated into our cars since the mid sixties. Car manufacturers must comply with certain rules, this is one of them. It's law the manufacturers must abide by.

You won't find it your states penal code so feel free to install those chrome Pep Boys jobs.

Google Ralph Nader for some reading on the topic.
