I did vote yes, but I'm sorta second guessing myself. We have the lounge and thats like fannie said covers everything. And we did watch and read with alot of interest when Orth was restoring his killer Falcon Ranchero. Ford Nut, start a thread...Yeah I do want to see what your doing and how, I've got a cars in barns Cougar I'm gona need ideas for.:tiphat:

I think the Lounge section is sufficient to discuss non wagons, like the restoration of Orth's Ranchero, or evicting the wasps out of my Coronet hardtop.

I added the 'Car & Truck Talk' as a subforum of the station wagon lounge

The reason why I say yes to the question is that there are many things that we do to non wagons that directly apply to wagons. There are a million ideas out there that us wagon folks may not have thought of.

    Good idea.(y)

I'm kind of glad to see the subforum added, only because I plan to get back to work on my Lincoln convertibles if I can ever get my wagon done...then there is my Airstream...:banghead3:...oh, forget it! I think I will go back to bed.:rofl2:

No, seriously, I could go to other, more appropriate forums and post my stuff, but most of those forums I've found are kind of dry and boring. You guys are my buds, and I want to pull up my chair here, and chat here, about anything I'm working on, and see what y'all are up to. I could make friends elsewhere, but I like it here. :beerchug:

I've dropped out of a couple of forums where members tend to get a little snarky. This forum has had very few "arguments" or snide responses to questions and comments.

Adding the sub-forum allows us more mature behaving folks to also discuss our other vehicles with the folks we've become used to. Most of what we do to trucks and other non-wagons directly apply to our wagons. Technical, engine, trim, parts sources, hints, ideas, metal work, painting, suspension all have applicability to wagons.

Yes, for the detailed make and model specific and unique issues can be addressed at a make and model specific site. I do that too. Typically I share on all three sites that I'm a member of.

Ford Nut, is your wife's '66 a 289 car? I ask because I have a '66 with the straight 6. I've done a lot to it over the 20 years I have had it, but working on it stalled out on the front disc and T-5 swap. I currently have the Ford SVO rear discs on it, and a 3.03 3 speed mated to the six (which is running 3x1 barrel Weber carbs). I'd be interested in the work you are doing on the Mustang.

Along with the wagon I've got a german sports car, and the Mustang.

    Bill
