What have you done to your wagon lately? (Let's keep the thread going!)

Have been real busy workin on the ol rollin sofa! Cleaned up the rear part of the underside over the long 3 day weekend. Installed the new upper trailing arms and springs. the shock where new but I cleaned them up a bit. The entire sheetmetal floor section was sprayed in a rust encapsulator product called "zero rust" then sprayed with a truck bed liner. The fuel tank received a new hanger unit and all the sheilds (the ones that were left) have been all sandblasted and painted.

 

Quickly zipped to a high school where the shop teacher was selling off some spares from a 55 BelAir hdtp hot rod project.

Snagged a complete interior from a 90's car that will fit nicely. Dark gray leather, power front buckets, fit us like gloves, and will work very well in the Safari. They sit in the "on hold" pattern while we go play with a bunch of vintage trailer people for five days.

Been having a rough 24 hours with my wagon, but a little birdie told me he's having a worse one.



Hit a possum last night and this bird today, first time I've ever hit anything bigger than a bug.

Also had a guy come find me in the plant to tell me there's an 8" gash in my tire that's 3 inches wide, down to where cord's showing. It's parked until this weekend. My buddy has two new whitewalls on order for me.

Installed my SHAG CARPET, sewed up some seat covers, working on door panels...

 

You appear to be having way too much fun putting your wagon together. It's going to be one fun ride when you are done. It sure will get peoples attention. Keep the pics coming.

 

I'm loving the seat covers! Not to mention, the whole theme.

Yeah I can't wait either.. Unfortunately I put a hole in the radiator that I'll have to fix and pickup or rebuild the carb before I'll be puttin' around. But yes, looking forward to it very soon! :banana:

 

Nice work DanR63 and everyone else making progress. CapriceEstate, that poor birdie was an indangered Wisconsin Sapsucker. Hide the body and keep this quiet.

Had the "reveal" party for the Wagon.. even if it isn't fully done yet. It was a success!
