    I don't know what springs you got from Ecklers. The Moog Cargo Coils (CC803) listed for that car have a wire diameter of .75, but they are also known for really raising the ride height up.

    It might be worth giving these guys a call. I've never personally worked with them, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

    Here are some other cross reference part numbers of other aftermarket springs for this application. I recognize the SMS part number as Mevotech. The 45H3021 looks like an AC Delco number. 591-1021 is Raybestos. The RCS number is Qualis. I'm guessing most/all have been discontinued, but sometimes you can find new old stock parts on ebay. Definitely do your research on whatever you buy before you buy it. They like to throw all kinds of part numbers that may have similar fit, but maybe not similar function into cross reference lists.

    Maybe the 'open box' was somebody sending back THEIR OLD springs as 'incorrect' returns......
