I don't know what springs you got from Ecklers. The Moog Cargo Coils (CC803) listed for that car have a wire diameter of .75, but they are also known for really raising the ride height up.

It might be worth giving these guys a call. I've never personally worked with them, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Here are some other cross reference part numbers of other aftermarket springs for this application. I recognize the SMS part number as Mevotech. The 45H3021 looks like an AC Delco number. 591-1021 is Raybestos. The RCS number is Qualis. I'm guessing most/all have been discontinued, but sometimes you can find new old stock parts on ebay. Definitely do your research on whatever you buy before you buy it. They like to throw all kinds of part numbers that may have similar fit, but maybe not similar function into cross reference lists.

Maybe the 'open box' was somebody sending back THEIR OLD springs as 'incorrect' returns......

 

I’ve been reading in recent years about a version of the GM A-body (FWD) wagon that came with amber rear turn signals. It was made in Japan, a Buick Century wagon named the Regal Estate. It used Chevy Celebrity taillights custom molded with an amber top section. Along with European side repeaters.

Well I decided to get a set of the taillights from a Japan used auto parts supplier. Added up to a lot with the tariffs and import duties, but not gonna find them anywhere else. Just arrived today.

My plan is to make the 1990 Celebrity Eurosport wagon I got last year, closer to a EURO sport. With the export amber taillights, side repeaters, and maybe even rear fog lights by duplicating the front turn signals into the rear bumper. Mixed feelings about drilling for side repeaters. So thinking of a set of thin flush mount LED units, adhesive mount right up to the fender edge, with a thin wire that will disappear into the fender/door gap.

Now just need winter to be over! Groundhog is only correct 30 some percent of the time, so let’s get an early spring!
The trim easily separates to allow the black Euro trim to swap on. Wiring is easy.

 

Celebrity Euro was one of my dream cars back in the day. Closest I came was an '89 Cavalier RS, and a '92 Lumina Euro. Neither one fully scratched the itch for a Celebrity of course.
They're still sharp as ever.
