Had a hydraulic line for the suspension start leaking and since the wagon is down while the hose is being rebuilt I decided to flush the heater core, descale and repair all the holes that appeared in the metal octopus that routes the coolant at the firewall, plus clean the firewall a bit more along with installing new heater hoses ( not done yet).

I should get the hoses in tomorrow and go from there.

Finally got around to uploading a couple of pics from the clean up and hose replacement under the hood of the 85,

And almost finished, I wish the hydraulic and brake reservoirs along with the washer tank were still available they would have really helped with the under hood clean up. Oh well you snooze you loose.

Replaced the Hydroboost, and resealed the steering gear box. No more leaks. Car pulled to the right a little, adjusted the driver's side camber and caster, 3/32 inch shims added to the rear 5/32 shims removed from the front, now it goes straight.

Ordered weatherstripping for all four doors and wondered what was taking so long. Called up Kennedy American in October and was told it shipped out in June but was never delivered to my house. Turns out FedEx returned it for some unknown reason. Well I finally got the package as the rubber on my car was in pieces here and there. Much quieter when driving now as would be expected.

Also got rid of the newer white California plates and put on correct year California blue plate.

Finally getting the back of the wagon sorted. I rebuilt the floor and removed the jump seats to make room for the fuel cell and fuel management system. The recess that was the footwell for said seats is now made of Brazilian Walnut, then clear coated

The engine compartment is nearly complete. The transmission cooler and its associated bits is the last big thing. The N2O purge solenoid and vent need to be installed. I’m running the vent where the antenna used to live, so when I hit the button, I nice column of N2O will shoot out from the top of the p/s fender IMG_4794.jpeg

I have more $$ in hoses/fittings than I paid for the whole car…
