Wow Ranger, you are really highly skilled! Paul isn't knowledgeable enough to do something like that. What a project!

Today hubs is spray painting the radio knobs silver to cover some of the wear. About the only thing he can do on this rainy day (no garage).

Lucky for you. Otherwise if he could, the Devil would probably get arount to paying him a visit and start whispering in his ear, explaining how lucrative life insurance policies are known to make certain people rich  Painted radio knobs are less likely to get you into a wreck :D

Indeed, it did. Touching those dials kept me too busy, to even think about lining her up with a life insurance policy :D

Almost, I used to to have the same blower hat as on Max's Falcon but I wound up selling it to a guy who used it on his 33 Willys.

On to today's business, after letting the new upholstery relax in the spare room for a week (read lazy) I started with the head rests after work.

Someone decided to supervise todays endeavor,
    [IMG]
    What a hoser.
    First headrest apart,
    [IMG]
Foam stuffed into the new cover,
    [IMG]
    And the first one done,
    [IMG]
All in all it took around 45 minutes to do both, of course the sup was swilling beer the whole time.
I'm just going to take my time doing the seats since I will have to instal the new carpeting while they're out and it probably won't be here for a week or two yet.

Paul is planning to mount the compressor today. Wish him luck. First decent day, weather wise, in awhile.

Last few days have been fun doing the drivers seat but it's covered, just have to bolt the base & back together.
40+ years of use have left their mark.

    Seat base apart,
    [IMG]
I'm using a couple pieces of pool noodle to stiffen the front coils for a bit firmer seat and adding a layer of foam to the base.
    Here's the finished base.

Now for the seat back, as you can see I have to replace some foam.
Once the glue cured I trimmed the first piece of foam, then glued & trimmed a second wider piece to finish. ( not shown)
    And done,
    [IMG]
I already have the base in the garage with cleaned & lubed tracks bolted on, I'll attach the back tomorrow then it's the pass seats turn.

Now on to the pass seat, I'll also need to remove the rear seat & console once I receive the new carpet.
