Correct! Moonshine comes out after she’s in for the night.

    If you drink, don't park.
    Accidents cause people.

I've "acquired " some of this liquid sunshine along the back roads of North Carolina while on vacation. As I'm covering up my six jars of happiness my wife chimes in isn't that stuff illegal:)...... Southern Longroofs Rule!

Nah it's fine, it's only camp fuel.
Of course it fuels the camp cook.

I happen to “know a guy” so I don’t have to travel very far to find it…
It keeps the ol 6 cylinder running like an 8!

Dad told me about when he was a young adult in Olympia, WA back in the late Forties/early Fifties, and the upshot is that there were families from North Carolina living in the forests around Thurston County, who made Shine. So if Grandpa wanted some, he'd walk down a dirt logging road to a particular stump, cash and a gallon jug in hand, set the money down and the jug on top of it, walk away a fair distance out of sight, wait an hour. He'd then walk back to the stump to find the money gone and the jug full.

I lived in E TN for 6 years. After growing up in Texas and California, you worried about running in to someone's grow patch or a truck with people of questionable paperwork status. Out in E TN if you were out hiking or hunting, you worried about running in to someone's still. And dudes with the rebel flag hat would come out on the porch with an actual shotgun like it was 1925 and tell you to get lost. You wanted some moonshine? It was easily available and NOT the stuff they sold at Pigeon Forge\Gatlinburg or the ritzy liquor stores in Nashville. This stuff would burn if lit, commercial stuff doesn't.

As far as my wagon, I have an update! A 428 is getting ready to dropped off at the machine shop to get the bottom end done. Between that and a toploader 3 speed, it'll be a fun car to drive once I get it back on the road. It's been a LONG road...
