Been in touch with SMS via email about my new front seat cover. I finally got a indefinite date for when I may receive it." First part of August." Well that's somewhere to start looking for them on the front porch! I'll be really happy when they get put on the front bench. Lol!....Longroofs Rule!

Seats actually look like they are in good condition. I'm sure you are anxious to get the covers on. I know I would be.

Wow! From mule skinner to hog ringer. That's really moving up  That deserves some hog-rider's bumper music:

I had a confrontation with hog rings, myself. They're easy to remove. But, a pain to re-install. I ended up using tie-wraps, instead:

You need "Hog Ring Pliers" to install and remove. Not sure they can be reused, so your solution seems cleaner.
    Plus.... no rust. Nice work!

Got the Mercedes wagon back from the trans shop, had the 722.3 rebuilt plus some over due tsb work and updates done and now with the garage space after selling the 7 Litre it has a spot indoors for the winter.

It'd be a good Winter to go through, deep-clean detail it, polish and wax it. I just wish I had garage access down here in Texas for my Ranchero, as I did with my niece and her husband.

I already have a couple of jobs lined up, I'll be replacing the steering box with a rebuilt unit plus rebuilding the original starter. I have the adjustment out as far as it will go on the box plus the sector shaft seal is leaking and on the starter the Bendix drive slips once in a while so a rebuild is in order.
