Well, the old 318 engine and 727 trans have been pulled. Its closer to being ready to go into the body shop. If replacement wagon windshield and windshield gasket are available, then the windshield will be coming out too. The weekend project will be removing the headliner (and carefully labeling each one). Luggage rack is already detached. Its just sitting on top to keep it out of the way.

I may have already located a complete 67 or 68 383 drive train to just drop in.

The slot cars are 1/32 scale. They get raced often enough when a spectator to the other garage activities gets bored.

It will be fun to take the wagon to the drag strip to see what it'll do, once its done and it has a big block under the hood.

That one is in PA. Not an original Hemi wagon, but the Hemi went in when the wagon was new, and its still there, and the wagon looks just as nice as it did back in the day. I bought a pair of 340 exhaust manifolds from the owner for my Dart. While I was there he showed me the wagon. He's now a Facebook friend. As for my wagon, I want it to look as showroom stock as possible right down to the wheel covers and white wall tires.

Looks like a Poly 318. I didn't realize they were still putting them in cars at that point. The 383 will be a pretty nice upgrade.

Its actually a 318 small block from '69. Since it wasn't original to my 67 wagon, I decided to replace it with a big block. The last year for the 318 poly in the U.S. was the 66 model year. But, I believe it may have been used in Canada through '67. I have a 66 Sport Fury with a 318 poly.

OK I was thinking it was 65ish. The valve covers looked similar to mine, but the heads don't look as wide, so I wasn't sure.
They're a good little motor. I used to run mine like I was qualifying for the Daytona 500 when I was in high school. Now I just cruise.

You need to make a slot car that matches this wagon.

Does it count if, a week or two ago, I picked up free hubcaps from a yard sale for a Wagon or Wagons I don't own?

I got one 77 - 90 Caprice Wire Hubcap (already had 4 but one didn't look quite like the rest,) a Buick Wire Hubcap (not sure what year) and some other odd Turbine hubcap that Mother's going to use as a prop for a Halloween event, in an Alien exhibit. I'd like to post pics of the hubcaps later.

The two wheel covers that come to mind first when you mention a "turbine hubcap" are the 68-69 Plymouth turbine style wheel covers and the 66-72 AMC turbine style wheel covers. As a third option, theres a 66-67 Plymouth wheel cover that kind of has a turbine look as well.

Thanks but none of those are correct. The one I'm referring to is on the right; also, what does the Buick one (left) appear to be from?
