Wow, congratulations on being able to do anything after all that!

I swapped out my NGKs to see if they were part of my rough idle.
They looked better than when I put them in.

Hutch57, you must be an ornery cuss to bounce back after all that. Doesn't surprise me much, I have relatives in Bristol, and so I know how tough you folks from Tennessee are.

Anyway, found a station near where I work that sells Ethanol free gas, so I filled up the Sube's tank and am curious to see how it affects my mileage (hopefully 5 to 10 percent better).

Although it was slight, I did notice that on these hot evenings coming home my temp gauge was showing slightly hotter than usual while I was climbing the mountain that I drive every day with the A/C cranking. (Engine temps on old Subarus have to be watched like a hawk, the little aluminum engines do NOT like to get overheated).

I know ethanol gas will run a little cooler, but I'm actually surprised it was really that noticeable.

I started up the old Caprice Estate a couple weeks back. She's been sitting a long time, since I can't afford the insurance and the tires are shot. She fired up no problem, and after letting her run for a little while, she drove just as good as always. I love that old girl.

I know how you feel. I've pulled the old T/C wagon out of months of hibernation, gave it a wash, then drove 300 miles to a car show or swap meet. Good old cars!!:thumbs2:

    Baby's got new shoes!

Since the Bonneville arrived last week, I have "touched up" the woodgrain on the dash, replaced the temperature control valve, cleaned out lots of desert dust and repaired the broken glove box.

Today, I finally got the proper lug nuts so I could install my Pontiac "snowflake" rims.

I couldn't drive it on those old tires (badly cracked, bare shoulders and at least one separated belt), but now I'm ready to start driving!

I hope you find what your looking for(y) I wanted and searched for what seemed forever trying to find a "Olds" bucket/console colour match for my 83 but it was clear that wasn't gona happen unless I bout a junk 2 door Calais and spend a huge amount at a interiour shop getting them redone...remember I'm on a island, so pickings are few and far between at wreakers. Keep your mind open to ideas, my power 6 way leather seats and console come from a Crystler Concord!

But here is some insperation for you, a bit older than yours but has the look of factory:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Fat Tedy, the pics of your ride are great. I replaced the malibu dash in my wagon with a Grand Prix unit but I still have some aplique materrial of engine turn like the old GTOs had soI redid that to the GP dash and console where the woodgrain is. If I ever get these pics on You can see. Itg really looks wild. hutcvh57

    new shocks

recently tinted the windows and replaced the 30yr old air shocks.I ran individual lines for each shock and set them @ 30psi.Seems like it added a sway bar and dont have a rear body lean anymore, gonna play with the pressures. Also took care of some wheel hop issues on real hard accelleration IE side stepping the clutch. Also lowered the ass end by 1 inch as the new shocks are 1 in shorter.BTW they are Monroes replacing Gabrial Hi- jackers... Love em...
