Bought myself an early Christmas present, off Craig's List. Finally have my Pontiac Rally II's in the correct 5 x 5" pattern. They are 15" x 6" Just need to do some clean-up and painting. Good spring project.

I finally found the correct optional AM-FM CD player for my Custom Cruiser.
They were pretty rare , only 215 of the 4347 '92 Custom Cruisers made had the option. It's upgraded with a newer CD unit so it will to play CD-R's and it also has an MP3 jack that I hid under the dash.

Yeah, I agree. I hope you didn't spend much, though, on account of the ugly-@$$ed color those are painted.

I have to paint them regardless of what color they were. The only problem I have is finding the correct white. I thought i had the correct color when I painted the fillers (the ones that didn't fit), but weren't a good match.

Well, recently, The Breadbox got new shocks and struts and another new cat back exhaust. Then the city finally did something about the heaved sidewalk in front of our driveway (after 15 years of complaining) so this exhaust won't get ripped out. I was doing good until two weeks ago, when I was going to replace the front wheel bearings. Then my mother called and asked me to pick up a carpet cleaner for her, which I put through the side window glass. I took off last Wednesday to find another side window (which took all day) then went to pick my daughters up from their aunt's. That's when the clutch cable broke at the pedal. So last Sunday was spent removing the cable from the first manual trans 740 I've seen in a pick n pull in years and installing it. Never have gotten the bearings done.

    Sure looks like it.
    That's too bad.

Took my OCC to the barbershop yesterday . It usually sits in the garage all winter but 65 degrees and sunny is cruisin' weather.

I looked at Texas Mike's car in other posts and near as I can tell, the licence plate number is the same.
    That's a serious bummer.

65* in Ohio two days before Christmas? Dang.
glad to hear you got to drive your wagon.

Yeah, we get our @$$es typically rained on, and your weather pendulum swung all the other way. Lucky b*stards.

Stripped, refinished, and installed right front door cladding I procured from the boneyard.
The old door cladding had a chunk broken off by the fender, very common. The double faced tape that holds the front edge of the cladding tight to the door comes loose with age and when you open the door it hits the fender and breaks off.

I'm thinking of making a few changes. Lately the only thing I did was let it idle for about seven minutes.

Rear wheel covers like on this Pontiac (but custom-made, may or may not include woodgrain to match)

    0w30 Motor Oil
    Differential Oil Change
Professional Grade Rust Repair (Roof, Tailgate, around wheel arches)
Electric Fan (let it get to operating temperature quicker from cold start, keep the stock fan)

Yeah, I'm going for a look like on Clam wagons with the rear wheel skirts. It'll aid aerodynamics too, a little bit.

Truth be told, I would actually prefer my '81 Bonneville Safari WITHOUT 'wood', but with the wide lower moldings, as shown on this Bonneville Brougham. You COULD get a Safari that way, it you wanted to. No skirts for me, though.

I've had this 88 Electra Estate for about a year. I had it stored until late April, then brought it home.
    IMG_20150425_125308.jpg

I replaced the tires, fixed the missing and mis-routed vacuum hoses and gave it a tune-up.
I have been using it as my daily driver since April, but every time it rained, the passenger front floor pan would be wet.

Last week, I finally got around to looking for the leak.

I found a broken/missing seal between the evaporator case and the firewall.
Cleaned the area, installed butyl ribbon sealer and buttoned it all back up.

Too cold for rain, so I guess I'll have to take it to a do-it-yourself car wash to test it.
    Hopefully, I fixed the leak.
