Wow, never knew 8-track decks were available that late! I always thought they sorta petered out in the mid-'70s. Well, guess I better wire it up and see if it works! Then I can say I installed a new stereo in my wagon! :)

Had the AC Pump go on me middle of summer, got that straightened out.

Had the water pump crap out (slowly - weep hole) so got that done, replaced the fan clutch while it was off. Painted the fan all nice and pretty before putting it back on.

Now I've got to fight with the steering box since it decided to start leaking.

17x10's on the back and 17x8 in the front. Could have put 17x12's on the back though

Replaced the shocks on my 88 Electra Estate this week.
Scored a working air suspension compressor at a local U-Pull for $20 and VOILA! - my auto level control system is working!

And great score on the compressor! Usually, they're shot, the switches are shot or somebody broke something off of it. I hate the fact these compressors are not 100% repairable.

There are lots of cars in the local U-Pull yards with those compressors.
GM must have used that same compressor for 40 years!
I found them in full-size rear wheel drive cars from the 70's, 80's and 90's, the FWD full-size cars from 84 up and recent mini-vans.

It's the same compressor for all the makes, IIRC. I need one for my bro's '90 Town Car, but with my luck, any that I see will be shot. However, I would like to find a Trailblazer with rear air springs, because the air delivery system includes an inflator hose that will reach any of the tires on one. That is a cool add-on to the air spring system.

    FOR SALE
One owner. Well taken care of.
Only driven on nice sunny days to church and very short drives by a little old non-smoking lady. Washed and cleaned regularly by the local dealer.
No pets or kids. Always garaged.
May have a few small rust spots. Non-matching wheels and tires since I drive on roads with pot holes.
Ran when parked, I think. At least that's what the nice tow truck driver said.
This photo is several years old so my station wagon may not look this nice today. I lost my license in 1999 for speeding and DUI while driving to the drag strip..
The other side may be a bit worse. I haven't been around there since 1999.
Price $29,999 firm. No tire kickers please. They are rotten and may loose air.
