I've never seen one in person. But I can tell your memory failed! The bottom needs to go back and down flatter to the floor.
Hopefully someone will chime in who knows how to mount one.

No, I don't believe you should be shot for it. :162:

As for me, I drove about 170-180 miles today. I think I got about 20 MPG/5 Gallons Used per Hundred Miles in the 1990 Mercury. I'm sure I can find a few ways to raise/lower that to 25 MPG/4 Gallons per Hundred Miles. :)

    It's supposed to pivot:

Almost looks like the angle it is pivoting at is in the wrong spot, like too high up on the bracket.

I washed the Country Squire this afternoon, but I have been doing a bunch in the shop to my other cars:

    1) Timing set and underhood detail on the '68 D100

    2) Electrical work on the Imperial convertible

    3) Fuel line, filter, and lower rad hose on the Coronet

Painted the door jambs, installed rear speakers and cruised it to a demo and made 300 derby drivers drool. Drove it to work today and spent my lunch break talking to people at Wendy's about it. I love driving my wagon!!!!!!

The Imperial in the Green Hornet series was a four-door Crown. There were 514 '66 Imperial ragtops built, which was the least of the '64-'66 Engels-designed cars.

Are you talking about the black Imperial? Because I'm sure the flip table had a yellow Imperial 2-door convertible on the opposite side. I'll check YouTube for a video of the 'flipover' and of the convertible out on the road.

Watch 9 minutes 15 seconds into this episode, where you see the main characters go into the garage, and Bruce Lee triggers the switch to make the flip. The Imperial you see before the flip is the yellow convertible.

And to be fair, there are a bunch of other 4-door Imperials in the show, as Chrysler Corp. was a major sponsor.
