Drove it again today, just like yesterday and the day before and the day before that, blah, blah, blah....

But... had a short blow-out the turn signal circuit on the way to work. So after pulling the steering wheel and re soldering a connection this afternoon. I am back on the road with no cost repairs needed!
    I LOVE THIS CAR!

    A SNO-CAP day

Got the wagon cleaned up and took the family to the SNO-CAP for root beer floats, :drink:hot dogs and burgers , nanner splits. (damn the cholesterol..full speed ahead) Kids and Grand kids loved it, and EVERYONE loved the 63 wagon. Now that I am semi-retired, will be doing more to the wagon. Hope everyone had a safe Easter and is looking forward to the Summer. We take the wagon to BIG MO Drive IN to see movies.

Putting the water pump on the wagon today, and My 12 Year old Grandson wanted to help, so I backed up and let him at it. Then his dad came out and gave a Hand. Should have it back together tomorrow.

The AC wasn't working when I bought it due to a line that came loose from the condenser and rubbed a hole in it, so I had a new one made and took it to a local AC guy. It's blowing ice cold and will make the trip to The Good Guys show in Nashville next weekend MUCH more comfy!

    Rear window switch

Ok I finally dug into and found out why my
Key did not raise the rear window. It would only
    Lower it.
Upon disassembly I discover a broken cam ?
I cleaned it up and super glued it
It works great ,,, for now ????
We'll see how long it lasts !!!
I also reinstalled my gas tank
, after I cut out the rust and welded it back up
    Cleaned and reseated it
I also had to fix my neutral safety switch.
It had separated internally and had to be rebuilt.
And I replaced the rear window gasket.
Now the front end feels like it is completely shot,
But I can drive it !!!!!

No it is held in place with small screws
Then pinched in place with the trim.
It's bolted through the tail gate .

Just got the wagon back from getting the windows tinted. It's too rainy tonight to take pics, but as soon as it clears up I'll have something to show!

Also, repainting a whole bunch of interior window trim before I put it back in.

My daughter Nicole came in from New Mexico to Mchenry,ILL (1200 Mile drive) and her 96 Roadie the next morning had a puddle of coolant under it. She needed a water pump for sure. went to pull it in the shop and it was running very poorly (misfiring). She said the car was fine when she pulled up to the house. So after some very quick investigation it was a water pump that was leaking on to the distributer (Damn LT1 design) and leaked in to the electronics and made a mess of the distributer. So instead of visiting with my daughter I was repairing her car and searching down parts. The sad thing is that these two components where only a little over a year old. The distributer was covered by a warranty but the pump was not. The car runs great now and should be good for the long ride home in a couple of days.
