Well the wife went off to New Mexico to visit my Daughter Nicole at school. So I grabbed my son and asked him do you want your car fixed so it will make it through another winter? Mom is gone and we can fix it now:banana:. So we proceeded to get the old beast back into shape for the winter haul. Oil change, new O2 sensor (Check engine light been on for weeks), and a complete front brake job. Car stops and runs great! Took care of a rim leak in one of the tires and tweaked the exhaust so it would stop hitting up on the body (He took the car himself to a shop and had the resonators removed and tips installed but they didn't check for clearance before giving the car back). Now that it is all fixed I am sure he will be in good shape. Had to sneak that fix in while Mom wasn't looking. Much cheaper that another car and he still likes the roadmaster.

I had been living with a cooling problem for years, not real bad just had to be careful how long I sat in traffic. So I found some fans to add as extra's
The Pacer wagon now has 4) 10" pullers and 1) 16" pusher, but this summer has been rather cool.. and now its cold! ( see pics):slap: 4 fans 002.jpg

Been trying to make my DD look a little nicer. 2/3 done putting on black vinyl. Painted the upper grill. Got some new wheels too.

Scored a set of original floor mats in matching green which are not reproduced. Cool that the arrow inlays exactly match the front end emblem.

    Those look excellent, Dan!

I was wondering, is there some kind of trick to getting upholstery to look like it's from the factory - like yours? I've seen a lot of upholstery jobs from outfits that look pretty amateurish..

I guess just finding a good shop ,this was done by a local guy ,who does great work and a fantastic, easy to deal with person. Been dealing with him for about 15 years and just has good eye.He also did my VW :)

I finally found my passenger's side water leak. It was coming under the bottom of the windshield in front of the passenger seat.

I made a small dam from modeling clay with partitions in it, filled them with water. Low and behold the center one drained immediately, and I got water inside the car. I cleaned up the area, and wiped it down with acetone, then paddled some window urethane into the area up to the edge of the glass...no more water.

I thought I was done with the interior, but NooooOOOOOOOoooo. The dash lights went out that very night. I checked the fuse, and it was melted. The heat also ruined the fuse block. So, I had to remove the dash, and dash support to get to the fuse block, then I had to swap 44 connectors from one block to the other along with replacing a few. I am so tired of fixing weird problems, that I could spit.

Hey, I have fixed my radiator 3 times now at great expense. I am with you there... crossed fingers every time I turn the key.

This kind of sums my summer up.. Had surgery done on my shoulder, and had my poor friends to help me with the airride system on the mighty.. Have driven it two times this summer, and only burned three air compressors, and managed to get my driver side door mangeled by someone who thought the parking spaces was too small.. Of course no one had came forward with insurance, or even an apoligize.. That sucks big time..... I lost all the energy after that, and just put the car back in the garage, where it has been sitting and still does.. We had snow a couple of days ago, and maybe i will put some winter threads on and compensate for the lazy summer, or maybe just let it sit and wait for next summer..
