Fixed the grille on my Bonneville.
A small section of the silver grid was busted...looked like a hockey player's smile.

    Thx, silverfox.
I was surprised how well they matched the existing cloth seats. You have to look closely to see that the front seat material is not the same as the rear seats.

Yeah, they feel good. And they're going to feel better; I'll pull them out this winter and re-do the foam and suspension so they'll feel new again.

jmt if you are looking for a console. Check this site.
    http://www.frankspontiacparts.com/

This guy has a ton of parts. I only saw one wagon, but I did see quite a few consoles maybe one will work.

Wipe a bunch of fresh oil off of various engine parts today. I have oil coming out all over the place. I found out I have a relative who works for Edelbrock and I can get a great discount. I am going to try building an engine on the side while the wifey is using the car. How much should a 400 engine block cost me? Anyone know of a good local source? Thanks.

    MrMister,
Yes, I know about Frank's...I've purchased some frame sections, moldings and other parts from them over the years. When I checked, they had no consoles for a 78-87 G Body.

I think I might have found a Grand Prix console with shifter in Ohio...should know more next week.

Well, got tunes in the Surf Wagon finally. Installed an aftermarket FM/8-track player under the dash today. No time to install the speakers correctly in the doors so they are stuck to the bare steel exposed in the kick panel area (kick panels are missing btw and magnets stick to steel).
Also installed some split bamboo curtains in the luggage area, installed the windshield wipers (in the vain hope that vacuum can power them... rrriiigghhhtttt, hope it don't rain) and new sun visors.

Heading over to a car show on the coast at Lincoln City Friday to sell some t-shirts. Hope all goes well!

I expect the wagon to cruise smoothly... but going to need to fix a warped exhaust manifold when I get back.
Seems the guys who put the motor in forgot to tighten the left side manifold bolts. Now, not even a brand new exhaust manifold gasket can prevent the ticking leak at number 6 exhaust port under acceleration!
No worries.... got a guy with a milling machine willing to take a few thousandths off for me. :)

There's still a bit of rubber left on 'em so I might just slap them on as is, I'll use them next spring with some new tires. I've got some steelies for the winter, but I need some snow tires too. They have 225/60's. I've never had anything but the stock 185/75/R14s.
