I think coil-over shocks will run you more than new springs. I think they have "spring supports" that will help put those springs back up higher.. but ultimately replacing the springs is probably the best way to go.

At least on this side of the pond, airshocks or coilovers is no budget solution.. It would cost a lot more than a new set of leafs.... Go to the junkyard and find a japantruck, or maybe a S10, and scavenge the second leaf from one who is about the same widht as yours, you will want a leaf that are about 4" shorter than the fords mainleaf..

    -My shoestring repair-tip.. Good luck!

Had a new pressurecontrol unit mounted this weekend....[IMG]

Calculations show that this car can appear a bit "rigid" and look a little bit mean with low pressure in the suspension
    ;-)

Thank you, I am convinced, new/used springs are the way to go.

Changed oil to a 20/50. Installed some fox body 'stang buckets. Installed Rally mirror I had laying around. I have to admit that this Wagon rides like an old school Lincoln and absorbs road shock like a sponge.

How did your car end up with a Chevrolet engine?

Well, my economy gave up.. Ran a 455 from -71 with stageII heads, StageI cam and two edelbrock 650 on top of it when i realized that gasoline dont fall from the sky right down in my tank, so i swapped for a TBI setup with a TH700 tranny. Not even remote as fun, but i can afford to hang on the trailer and cruise whenever i want(y)

Started slicing and dicing my wiring. I'm relocating the ignition switch onto my center column and also getting rid of the old generator / regulator wiring and installing a 3 wire alternator. Will also be using a mechanical 3-gauge set in addition to the stock gauges.

Looking at the wagon I'm surprised it sits as low as it does. I'm thinking someone at one time lowered this a bit.. but I like it and it'll work.

Found 4 real nice retractable seat belts that I didn't know I have.. and I'll be installing those as well.

Little by little she's coming along.

Just checking back in, "online life" has to take a backseat to real world as we all know from time to time.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

I've "moved up" (lol) into the 1991 Legacy wagon that used to belong to my son, as he is now enjoying his well deserved college graduation present ('04 Mustang GT convertible).

Anyway, getting a few odds and ends done to the Legacy this week for inspection, mainly having a local shop repair an exhaust leak, and I spent a few minutes de-hazing the headlights and giving the wagon a good cleaning inside and out.
