Nice fix. The clock on my Safari sits in the center gauge position, directly above the steering column. It's square, about 3" across. I really don't need a clock. It would be the perfect location for a tach, but unfortunately the odometer is also in the same binnacle. Doesn't look like there's anything I'm going to be able to do with this. There was a gauge package for this vehicle (which mine doesn't have), but it didn't include a tach.

Previous owner did a cool mod on this dash. He took out the center AC duct bezel which also had a pod for the clock. Then he installed a 3 pod bezel from a '65 GP and upgraded to Autometer water and oil gauges (the important stuff) and put the factory clock in the 3rd spot.

It's pretty cool to hear the ticking :)

Got the penatraiting oil out..... blasted everything under the hood of the Beatoer, and then walked accross the street and blasted all the bracket hardware that I'll need from the other 460 (still in truck....I have 2 now). Gona re-soak daily for awhile before I start shredding:)

Repaired radiator and overflow hose. The shop said it looked like the original radiator.

    Nothing.
It fires up on the first turn, gets thumbs up where ever I go and the 8-track tunes are fantastic!
Need lots of upgrades... but I also need $ to do them so... just enjoying my 55 year old car right now just as she is!

I installed NOS body side molding that was oh so hard to find! Looks fantastic.

Now I just need to clean the rubber a little. It is real hard to get a picture of the whole body side line in the dark.

    Some of my "fixes"

On our new '11 Chrysler T & C, I installed a custom-back-painted clear bug shield, and a class 3 trailer hitch. Can't afford to buy the wiring connector yet!
On my Sonoma which is named "Bruiser", 'cause it is black & blue,
just had some exhaust leaks fixed on my modified 383 cu in. LT-1 V-8,
and a new custom power steering hose to replace a leaky one!
Full details of the mods on this one are at: www.V8S10.org.

    Here is Bruiser:

what i've done to my wagon recently

i bought a 64 country sedan wagon with a smooth running engine that turns out wasnt all it was cracked up to be. i ended up rebuilding the heads and just a good refresh on the engine. i am looking at repainting the parts (valve covers, air cleaner, block, etc) and wondering what the correct colors are for the particular engine and year. 1964 289 2 barrel, does anyone know?

Soon I gotta get out there and at least clean it up and put the grille badge it won in October on.

It is a light apple green, from the pics I have seen on engines of that vintage.
Oops! I thought you were talking Mopar. Don't know on a Ford.

I think you need to get yourself some spiked tires and go ice racing. You'll scare all the other drivers off the track........

I´ve spent all day zig-zaggin round V70ies and Passats.. Absolutley hilarious going in the roundabouts at 60mph, with full rev on the engine just drifting around.. Got pulled over at rush hour, and the policemen thought it was impressive driving, but asked me to head for the racingtrack instead:biglaugh:

Will have some pics of that tomorrow.. Studless is kind of okay on a car this heavy, i didnt think it would work, but i like it

The truck moter #2 is in.....

The fuil saving 460, running conditon still.... and runs pritty darn good, but the other is "fresher"

The travel time getting to it is just a killer.... see the truck way over there?

and of course what all that and more will be going into....

    Getting back to work...

After a several month hiatus, I am back to work. Started sorting out all of the power window and power lock stuff for the conversion.

I also picked up a 5 gallon bucket of EvapoRust so I can soak the seat tracks.

Ordered SMS paint to redye the dash pad.

Started to remove trim for redying to more closely match the redone upholstery.
