Yeah, If it sounds too good to be true". Guy had a good reputation (they give points called 'good eggs'), plus he was a moderator, thought he knew what he was doing - NOT!!!! VERY long story on this thing (don't even consider it a person), I could write a book (or two) about this. I'll say this much, I'm not alone in getting ripped. Last count was about 15 IF I remember right. At this point in time, I just wanna get it out of there before it IS too late. Very strongly suspect the bank will be taking the property soon & if that happens, I'll never see it. Expect to see my money (& everybody else get theirs) all on the same day. Feb. 31st.

I was thinking the same before I scroled doun and read your post, Fox.

I'd just show up with friends to get the car, don't phone just show up! If you have the papers/title and land fill gives you grief just phone the police.......or.....make land fill!

I hope atlest you get your car back in the condition you left it.

Found a Spacebook page for the sheriff's dept. there & sent a message. Didn't name any names, just asked IF I had the title/bill of sale from the seller was that good enough? Also inquired about the possibility of an officer or a deputy being present when I went to get it. Still awaiting a reply. Thanks to Ma Nature & all this sHtuff she left, plans MAY get postponed - yet again. I'm in St. Charles County, Mo. - just west of St. Louse/Ill. state line & it was A MESS!!!

ONE story of what this thing is like. A young lady from Canada, eh? was here stateside visiting. She stopped there for some repairs to her Eagle. Not sure exactly how long she got stuck there, but the genius replaced the rear end (actually the way the story goes is it told them what to do & sat/stood around). She loaned it $1,000 (U.S.) because it had kids & no food in the house. It took the kids to some kind of Disney ice skating show.Sad, right? As they say on TV, "But wait, there's more". AFTER being stuck there & having the rear end replaced in her Eagle, she left. Got down the road & it didn't seem to be running right, opened the hood & gas pouring out everywhere (I forgot, it messed up her cyl. head TRYING to install an aluminum valve cover). "We're not done yet", she drove all they way from Ill. where it is to Wis. with NO REAR BRAKES because it didn't hook them up. "Still want more? How about this"? She got to this other guy in Wis, & the problem was A BAD U - JOINT!!! So she was out $1,000 cash (which it later tried to claim was for a pair of axles she decided she didn't want), x number of days (I THINK a couple weeks), but add to that she MAY need a new head & nearly got killed between the gas leak & no rear brakes. This is only ONE story. There are more.

On the bright side I replaced the cable to the starter solenoid and the juice is flowing. I replaced my upper radiator hose and it collapses when it cools off. I'll check out a premium one when I get tune-up parts.

Your radiator cap good/correct type? Any restrictions in the hose going into the overflow tank? the cooling system is trying to pull the coolant back in from the overflow when it's cooling down and if it can't the vacuum collapses the hose.
    Or it's just a really bad hose.:D

I'll check it out at the radiator shop when I flush and fill. It's the return line so it operates under pressure and the car runs nice and cool.

update - I cleaned engine bay and noticed that the overflow hose is collapsed.

Re-installed the factory clock in my Safari after making a few repairs. No quartz conversions here, it's just as Mr. Borg made it and I'm amazed at it's accuracy. A 50 year old clock running in a classic longroof, well that's just cool.

I did a little video/picture info session HERE

Nothing great, just gave it a shot.

Put the TH350 up on work bench so I could start cleaning and install any leaking seals before re-install. I hope it works as well as it's going to look! :49:

Finally got the thunderbird IRS apart and sent the hubs to be redrilled for the 5x4.5" lug pattern.

Last summer I actually took the car out and auto-crossed it a few times.

I picked up some 17x9/10.5 bullitts with hoosier A6's- 295/40 fronts and 335/30 rears. Put 300lb street stock springs on the rear to drop it and stiffen the back end up.

I'll post some pics up soon.

Can't be seen here, but that bright orange indicator says "BRAKE". It originally was red and said "OIL" . The previous owner had wired the E-brake to this OIL lite after adding a mechanical oil gauge. And since the car was converted to a 4 speed, the E-brake is used all the time, and the indicator is nice to have.

I pulled apart the cluster, removed the OIL and added the BRAKE indicator label (supplied by the previous owner, thanks Bruce)

So I fixed my clock and added the brake indicator during this work session, BUT broke a wire on the front speaker on reassembly and now have NO HVAC fan at all. Never touched anything on it.

SO, fixed 2 items, have 2 new ones to deal with. But still happy with the work I've done. After fixing these I have a factory underhood reel out light to install.
